Lakelawn is conveniently located near the ferry in Yarmouth. The room was clean and roomy. The price was great. If you're looking for a place conveniently located near the ferry - the Lakelawn is adequate, clean, and the price is good.

Room was big, beds were comfortable enough, and the TV channels that were offered worked well. The wifi connection was spotty but did work well if you were able to get it to show up.

This is such a delightful place. It is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The kitchen has everything we needed. Our room was on the ground floor and had a wonderful view over the tidal river. Esther was very helpful in checking us in and in giving advice on the area. It is really a small upscale hotel. I highly recommend it.

Yarmouth is an authentic Nova Scotian coastal fishing town.
Yarmouth is an authentic Nova Scotian coastal fishing town. Our visit there was like going back in time 40 years with access to beautiful views, a ferry to Bar Harbour, Maine and lots of friendly and helpful people. The town has a charming Main Street with colourful painted buildings, charming artistic street seating which illuminates at night and a lovely park across from the Grand Hotel. Yarmouth also has a self guided walk of the homes hearten back to the times when Yarmouth was a world seaport during the age of sail. There are also two museums a historical and the Firefighter’s museum. Their are many local restaurants and pubs that serve fresh fish. There are beautiful areas to explore within a short drive such as the Cape Forchu lighthouse, Bunkers Island( incredible views but not a groomed trail), Chebogue and further afield is the gorgeous Mavillette Beach. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets over the harbour!

Ate at: Joann's Quick and Tasty = Fantastic seafood dinner with small/large option @ reasonable price; The Dinner Plate = lunch - great Club Sandwich and Fries @ reasonable price; Rudders = early dinner -FABULOUS pan-fried scallops with choice of fries, side salad, or veggies @ reasonable price.
It's VERY EASY to get around Yarmouth. The Cape Forchu Lighthouse is a "must see!!" There are several museums to visit. There is a FANTASTIC craft shop, "Hands-On-Crafts" where one can buy gifts to take home. It also has a SUPER selection of brand name and locally spun yarns, bead supplies, essential oils for making soap/scented candles, hand-crafted wood products, AND MORE.
Don't avoid anything. It's all GREAT!! :<}

My son and I needed a place for one night to cut down on...
My son and I needed a place for one night to cut down on driving during a hockey weekend. We chose the "Voyager Motel" because of its quiet and convenient location, and also because the website advertised "breakfast included''. Breakfast is only offered during the peak season however. The lady at check in offered to hunt down some muffins for us, but we passed.
Yarmouth has a few decent restaurants now, we got our coffee from "Sip Cafe" on Main St. They have decent coffee and are a good spot for breakfast/lunch. We had dinner at "Gaia Global Kitchen" which offers a lot of vegetarian and gluten-free options, but also makes a mean burger and has a good cocktail menu. Good atmosphere.
We Live in SW Nova Scotia, so we go to Yarmouth quite a bit and we're happy to see that the town seems to be bouncing back again after some tough breaks, go check it out :)

Great local restaurants! Good seelction of seafood. Try Bailey's Bakery and Restaurant on Hwy #1 just outside of Yarmouth towards Digby. Excellent rappie pie, a local Acadien dish! Easy to get around and see heritage homes. Very close to beautiful lighthouse and ocean surfing at Cape Forchu.

I loved Yarmouth, the people were very friendly and helpful,...
I loved Yarmouth, the people were very friendly and helpful, to me it was like a real traditional rural community, as opposed to those put on for tourists.
It was my first visit and I was so happy that I took the time to go, I hope to go back and stay a little longer next time.
Very comfortable room with exceptional staff and service. We took the CAT ferry to Bar Harbor Maine from Yarmouth and went on as foot passengers. We were able to leave our car and Peter, the host, drove us to the ferry. He was very courteous, informative, and helpful and even offered to pick us up on our return, which he did. He could not have been more considerate and helpful and made everything very easy for us. We also appreciated the lovely breakfast they provided. Thank you Peter and best wishes
The pillows and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of tasty options. Liked the shampoo and soap dispensers - saves lots of little plastic bottles from ending up in landfills. Wish more hotels did this. Just an overall new, clean, modern hotel. Nice job.
our beds were the most comfortable we have ever had at any hotel. Our room window actually opened a few inches which was nice. Bathroom was small but efficient and shower pressure very good. Enjoyed the coffee/tea maker.
Your staff found a quiet room for me (light sleeper). I booked online and it seemed to be a pain to do but the front desk staff was great. Maybe make it easy for guests to specify ground floor room - quiet area of hotel.
The staff was friendly and did their best to make our situation better. Breakfast was good and served with care. Discount was given for our troubles bringing us back to local rate. Again, staff was apologetic and polite.
This motel is an easy 10 minute drive to the Yarmouth ferry to Bar Harbor Maine. Room and grounds has a nice view of Lake Milo across the street. Room was large with big fridge, stovetop, and microwave.
The Hotel was a great place to stay when getting off and on the ferry.
It would be great if they could set up some kind of early breakfast for the people departing on the early morning ferry.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel, everything was spotless while we were there. Staff were so great and recommended some really fantastic places to eat. We can't wait to come back!
Breakfast was adequate. View was nice except for wires. Hotel needs full reno. Lights didn't work, poor quality, table rusty, no towels for shower....etc.
