Rodee Homestay, hotel in West Kelowna

Rodee Homestay offers accommodations in West Kelowna, 4.9 miles from The Old Woodshed Kelowna and 4.9 miles from Waterfront Park.

Beautiful location, relatively easy to find with Google maps, room was just inside the main door and it had a lovely view and the room I had had a private bathroom. Enjoyed a hearty delicious breakfast that Rodika was kind enough to provide when I asked if breakfast was an option. Enjoyed sharing it with sweet Mario her little dog, on her deck which overlooked the mountains. Lovely!

A View of the Lake B & B, hotel in West Kelowna

Located in West Kelowna, A View of the Lake B & B offers Lake and City views.

Absolutely beautiful home with a view of the lake from the back of the property. The location is in a residential area perfectly located for exploring. Easy access to everything. The true gift of this place are the hosts. Truly personable, welcoming and go out of their way to be accommodating. I have to avoid dairy and soy and how special that I had this top award winning chef make me breakfast. Please know I did not take this effort for granted. Totally fun to talk with the other guests at breakfast and hear their stories and insights and loved hearing some of the history of the owners journey. Kelowna is a fun town to explore with excellent wineries and cider houses in the area and really should be experienced. We found the people there so friendly. We enjoyed several meals at 19 Okanagan Grill & Bar, which is at the golf course.

It was our first trip and we had fun picking cherries. We also visited some vineyards. The next time around, we know where to stay as the hotels fill up so quickly and so we had to drive 10 minutes farther from the lake.

Easy to get to and from the main city and our B & B was in a quaint neighborhood overlooking the lake. Highly recommend going to the Myra Cannon to either bike and/or hike. Easy access to hwy 97S for a day trip to Oosoyos and drive was spectacular. Dinner at Catcus Club in downtown Kelowna was delicious and really enjoyed walking the pier their including the naturalized marsh.

Great location close to lots of restaurants and wineries.

Great location close to lots of restaurants and wineries. Our room was nice and spacious. Shower water pressure not great and no place to hang wet towels. Room devided into sleeping and sitting areas both with large tvs. A curtain between the two areas would be great. Because of the Reno’s taking place, the parking lot was hard to get in and out of. Once all done, should be an excellent spot.

West Kelowna is home to many fantastic wineries that offer great views and tastings. This part of British Columbia is becoming the new Napa of the north and there are several wineries that have excellent bistros, Mount Boucherie winery has the Modern Butcher, which has an extensive wine list of their own wines plus other local wines. The food was a 10/10. I would suggest that you make a reservation as it was busy. We visited the Hatch, which is a real treasure and Black Swift one of Jason Parker's other wineries. The tastings were done by knowledgable staff who were attentive and kind. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. There are plenty of wine tours that will pick you up at your lodging and drive you to some of the local wineries. Most of the wineries have picnic tables and you can bring your own picnic and enjoy a bottle of wine. Overall this was a fantastic experience, especially after Covid. All of the wineries we visited and our bed and breakfast had very good safety measures in place.

There are a number of wineries very conveniently located within the city. The city of Kelowna is only a short distance away, across the bridge. Because the streets wind around, run at angles, and sometimes terminate, it can be a bit difficult to find your way around. The part of the city we stayed in was largely commercial and light industrial, and not particularly attractive. The residential area where our accommodation was located was an exception to this, and was quite nice.

Friendly accomodating staff. Room was very comfy and well fitted for our stay. When you arrive you can see you are staying at a quality resort hotel by the overall care of the exterior and grounds. My pet was treated as well as we were and I appreciate that because he is my family. You have EV chargers which were a huge plus since I have converted to a fully electric vehicle. Very nice location as it was very serene while still being central enough to Peachland and Kelowna of which I had to visit both during my stay.

Lovely hotel and location. Our stay was short so did not use spa, pools etc. But we went for a wonderful walk through a nut farm and neighborhood with beautiful houses to admire! The lake was beautiful. Wish we had had a longer stay planned here! Room was comfortable and clean. Good coffee. Close to restaurants, starbucks and some stores. Only complaint is can't check in til 5pm and have to be out by 10 am. Most hotels 3 or 4 pm check in, and 11 am check out.

The staff were friendly upon arrival, it was the most smooth check in at a hotel we’ve ever experienced. The room was super clean & comfortable. Nice view of the lake from our room too. It was our anniversary & the staff decorated the bed with cute rose petals, we really appreciated the touch- thank you! There’s a big shower in the bathroom, coffee & tea for the morning, mattress was comfortable. Honestly there’s nothing we didn’t like about this hotel.

The property is exceptionally beautiful. The owner went all the above to accommodate our plans and make the stay unforgettable. The room included a huge private outdoor space with a jacuzzi and it was the best experience being there with a view. The room is very clean and spacious, we had everything needed. If I will get a chance to visit Kelowna again, I will definitely book the same hotel. The best experience ever, thank you so much again!

The view was spectacular. The location was perfect, as West Kelowna is scenically situated across Okanogan Lake and the Kalamoir national park and hiking trails were literally a hop jump and skip away! The hosts Merle and Lou were super sweet, amazing to converse with and the breakfasts were deliciously homemade. Their dog, Tinkle, is also so cute! This place is a gem, and we would highly recommend. Felt like staying with family.

By far the best stay I had in a very long time. Merle and Lou were amazing, we all had a great talk during breakfast. The location and the room were simply stunning. I rarely had such a clean, peaceful, cozy location. So far better than all the hotels I stayed in, and for a cheaper price. Give yourself a treat: get some tea on the balcony with a view to the lake just by sunset, and say hi to Tico for me.

Cleanliness. Everything I needed and expected in the room....except no ironing board. Had an iron, but NO board. The breakfast was substantial. The waffle maker was out of order due to a part on back order.(certainly not the operators fault) but there was plenty to choose from. This is an important part of a stay....breakfast. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was quiet and comfy.

The staff were so welcoming from the moment we walked into the lobby. Chase and Monique should be recognized by Best Western for their outstanding service. The room was clean. The breakfast was fabulous with many options available! Unfortunately for families, the pool was closed for maintenance, but that needs to be done too.
