The Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites was very clean & the hotel room spacious with an exterior deck where the guests can sit down and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a morning cup of coffee. Our suite was located at the rear of the hotel and away from the busy Highway #5 vehicle traffic, so we enjoyed a restful overnight sleep. In the event, we travel through Valemount, BC in the future and require an overnight stay, we definitely will be returning back.
Jackman Flats Provincial Park is 9.5 mi from this hotel located off Highway 5 in Valemount. Vacation Inn Dine & Lounge is on site and each suite offers views of the Rocky Mountains.

The view the most but truly it was a decent place for the price we paid.

This was a piece of paradise that felt like you were miles away from anywhere when you get to the main part of town in only 3 minutes. It was quiet, serene. I am definetly going back.
Featuring a hot tub and sauna, Chalet Continental Motel offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and a cable TV. It also has free on-site parking, a garden with a barbecue grill and a gazebo.

The layout, a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and a separate bedroom.
Friendly host, and functional sleeping courters. After checking in, I discovered that the public aquatics and gym were non functioning. Also my room had a shower, and no tub. Which was only an issue for me because I was not allowed to use the hot tub. Also, no usb outlets. This room has baseboard heating and an AC unit. Most restaurants were closed quite early, except for fast/fake food restaurats. But, that had nothing to do with the Inn. And lastly the information that the host gave me on on the region was nice. As well, as travel advice.

Weather was beautiful, town is clean and well cared for.
Some shops were not open which is very disappointing. Others have limited days of the week or hours which make it difficult to spend time downtown.
Great views of mountains and mountain bike park was impressive.
Several great outings within half hour of town. Specifically Mt Robson which is spectacular.

The local museum was VERY informative, wonderful exhibits of railway times. Information about the Japanese internment camps was quite enlightening, we had no idea that they existed in this area, and the history of the Canoe River train disaster was truly revealing.
We took a stroll along part of the Cranberry Marsh - beautiful view from atop the observation tower.

If you want to eat in Valemount, go to the Caribou Grill. The food and service is top notch, great! Love it :)
I would stay at the inn again if I was just driving through.

I stop in Valemount once every couple of years as it is the only location with accomodation between Vancouver and Edmonton. Don.t care for it as it is overpriced knowing that people have little choice. Little choice in restaurants and gas is higher than anywhere else on the route.

Never again will we stay here The room was small and the place needs to be demolished. It’s old, smells, and we got up with backaches in the morning. The parking lot was jammed with vehicles. Trades stay here. This place is gouging people with their prices.
Friendly owner with helpful knowledge of local hikes. Very quiet , relaxed location and setup with 5 cabins around a central field. We hiked Mt Terry Fox but plenty others to do too. Valemount is a nice town with supermarket and local brewery. This place a little bit out of town... I quite liked the distant sound of the train. We cooked in the cabin but a BBQ on the deck if you like that. Very good value compared to the Banff/jasper tourist hotspots.
We stayed in a room that had just been renovated. The room was clean and contained all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. This is a small motor hotel so lacked the amenities of a larger organization (e.g. no breakfast room); however, there were several restaurants nearby. It was a good budget-friendly option and would work well for a young family. Make sure to arrive before 11 p.m. or the front desk will be closed.
Nice hotel to either stay overnight between Rocky Mountains and Vancouver area or to just stay a couple of days to explore the area. Well maintained room. Many amenities including swimming pool and gym which we unfortunately were not able to use due to time constraints. The breakfast has a wide variety and is quite nice in comparison to other hotels in Canada and US; and it is complementary.
I left early so I didn’t get to experience the breakfast, but the cougar B&Bs staff was or amazing, beds were comfortable and most importantly very clean premises. I typically stay with high end hotel chains, and was very surprised at how this BB rated against the hotel chains, very comparable, and I would stay here again, and recommend it for sure.
We had a brief stay here as we were passing through to Jasper but wished we could’ve stayed longer! Beautiful rustic cabins with amazing view of mountains. The owner was very friendly and gave us great recommendations - one of them leading us to see a wild bear for the first time! Hope to be back one day.
Convenient location and nice staff at the front desk! Rooms were just as in the pictures, very comfortable bed and came with 2 refrigerators! And the view from our room was just amazing, If given the chance again to pass by Valemount, we would definitely stay here!
This property is a cozy and clean bungalow that has a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and one bedroom. We were able to cook our dinner and there was a plenty of towels we can use. We had a good rest after several hours of driving from Vancouver to Jasper.
Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Great breakfast options to choose from; enjoyed the coffee cart in the front lobby. The lounge and restaurant facilities were nice and not overcrowded for the size of the hotel and the number of guests.
It was beautiful and comfortable being serene and neatly tucked within the mountains of Valemount. Kevin was friendly, welcoming, and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The horses on site were an extra plus to the setting.
I enjoyed staying here as it brought back so many memories. My mother actually managed this hotel when it was called the canoe mountain lodge. We lived in one of the suites on the 2nd floor.
Clean well run property with some very nice amenities. Pool and hot tub were nice, but use of golf simulator was a bonus. Breakfast were the best I have had at any chain hotel, period!
The place was very clean. Coffee shop right beside the hotel.
Also I lost a new tank top there and dealing with to have it returned they were amazing !!
