Front desk bothered us every 2 hours foe our credit card after taking the 100 deposit and payment. We didn't enjoy our time at all due to staff harassment. Will not go back and will not recommend a place that has the hotel staff harassing guests after being told we're trying to eat or sleep. We paid for a night and didn't get to enjoy it

    We had a nice visit!

We had a nice visit! Although the parking is a little weird at the hotel, but we were fine. Also since our visit was during Summer, the AC was not enough for the whole place. However, we were gone most of the day, so we survived! We will definitely come back at Sleeping giant BNB for accommodation. Kalabeka Falls and Fort William Historical Park are a few of our favorites! Also the Thunder Bay Lookout at Sleeping Giant Natl Park. :) Mount McKay is also a nice place yo visit! :)

Thunder Bay is close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park—about an hour’s drive—which is a phenomenal place for hiking at all levels. It’s an easy trip back and forth, and the primary reason I visited Thunder Bay (there are no hotels near the park). I didn’t explore the city-proper very much. It’s easy to drive around. Also seems to have a robust bus system that no one uses! There’s a downtown area with many restaurants and bars, but it wasn’t very busy, even on a weekend night. Best place I ate was a Thai restaurant, Thai Kitchen (11 Cumberland Street), which was excellent.

There aren’t enough hotels and the ones they have that are good book up quickly. The ones left aren’t worth staying in, but it’s too late to get to another town once you realize it. Plan ahead and book early is my advice.

My reason for staying there was STRICTLY medical, not pleasure. I travelled over two thousand miles to get the medical help I needed, because of the FAILURE of the CORPORATE medical mafia (YES, the medical system is the upgraded mafia system) establishment wants to TREAT people but NEVER CURE people as there is no money in "curing" people. They are the LEGAL DRUG DEALERS WITH LICENSE, WITH HORRIFIC SIDE EFFECTS OF THEIR DRUGS. I KNOW, I AM ONE OF THE VICTIMS OF THEIR GREED. For the medical reason, hot tub was a crucial part of my trip and you ALSO failed to tell me that the hot tub was there for the show not for the go. For the proper health benefit, hot tub AND swimming pool go hand in hand! THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL HEALTH CARE!

We went for a family wedding, but should have went earlier to see the sights. We stayed at the Harbour Front and it was gorgeous. Beautiful weather, Lake Superior ! But like every where else, short staffed. Stayed at Delta Marriot, brand new hotel, but restaurant closed for breakfast as no staff. No bar. No snack counter. Starbucks closed at 11am on Saturday and Sunday !!!!! the young people working there were very helpful.

This hotel is accessible to the Trans Canada Highway. Restaurants and gas stations are located close by. Staff were friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast was compatible with that given at most hotels during COVID time....a paper bag into which you could put whatever you desired (yogurt, hard-boiled egg, muffin, juice box), with no limit imposed. Coffee and tea were also provided. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The decor was fairly up to date. We had a good night’s sleep after a very long day of driving.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times on our way through Thunder Bay. It has never disappointed. The last couple of times we have booked a king suite and have found it to be very spacious and comfortable. When we stay here we order a takeout dinner from The Five Forks restaurant next door which is so handy and has many delicious options. There is a lot of choice for the breakfast at the hotel and the friendly, helpful person who works in the breakfast area keeps it spotless!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, close to the water front for walking. Rooms were large, beds extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Very good value for your money compared to other hotels in Thunder Bay. The history of the building adds to the charm if staying there. And above all pet friendly, which for us who travel with their dogs, extremely important, sometimes I feel like we are punished for our pets, but not here, treated like everyone else, thank you for that.

This us a great hotel located overlooking sleeping giant in Thunder Bay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptional as was the bedding -- very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was hot and tasty with scrambled egg, bacon and potatoes along with self made breads, cereals, yogourt, fruit, tea and coffee. Sean, the breakfast guy was very friendly and worked hard to keep things in order.

Very clean and fresh! Everything in the room looked new. We appreciated the very comfortable bed and linens. We liked the size of the room--spacious in our opinion. The staff was efficient, friendly, helpful and professional! Check-in was quick--it maybe took 5 minutes at the most. Check-out was just as fast. It had a good location for what we had planned. Thank you for making our stay in Thunder Bay so great!

Check-in was awesome! I cannot say enough good things about Shavim who checked us in. He let us select our specific room, and he gave us great walking distance recommendations to the Sleeping Giant Brewery and to the Bowling Alley. If you like bowling and beer...the location is hotel location is perfect. Try bowing "5-pin". Had never heard of it and it was a lot of fun. Breakfast was very nice!

Beautiful clean hostel, it felt very homely and loved. We arrived super late as we were on a long drive through Ontario, but our room was cozy and they left little chocolates and info about the hostel in our room. The bed was super comfy. We didn’t wake up on time for breakfast but one of the team put a pot of coffee on for us in the morning when we did wake up.

Room cold, heater was old and took hours to make a change, tv was poor, set was old and picture was poor. No breakfast. I expect more for the $$, the next night we stayed in a small “mom and pop” motel in Port Perry Ontario, cost $50.00, clean, warm, great helpful staff and quiet. Was all we needed and more.

Hotel feels brand new, and definitely has some features you find in larger, 4-star hotels. The lobby and breakfast area are good examples. You almost forget that you’re in Thunder Bay. In fact, the area surrounding the hotel isn’t all that nice, so it feels like an oasis of sorts.
