We loved the location, far away from civilization. It was super quiet and comfortable. The best part were the trails/old roads behind the house. We walked miles both days we were there. The room itself was unique, all wood and open, it's a loft above a multiple lodging room, full of bunkbeds. You would not know this was a hostel in our room, though, it was totally private.
Thetford is like a little jewel. We enjoyed walking some of the trails. It was scenic and quiet…just what we needed coming in from the city. We were able to relax and enjoy the local restaurants. Thetford is a lovely place to visit and the people make it even better.

It's a somewhat quiet town.
It's a somewhat quiet town. A main road goes right through the town hence the somewhat quiet part. Beautiful place with farms surrounding the town and the now abandoned mines to the southwestern side of town.
Rooms were very modern, spacious and clean. Room was also very well equipped with towels, blankets, pillows. I think the best thing about this place was the bed. It was incredibly comfy and I slept like a baby. A/c was nice and cold when I arrived inside too which was nice as many hotels often leave them off. This will be my hotel of choice the next time I am around the area. Also a note for english speaking travellers - hotel staff was not fluent in english however it did not have any issues while checking in.
The hotel is new, room was spacious, but we’ve got 1st floor observing the parking, so if you wish to pay more- you’ll get a better view on the artificial lake. The beds were comfortable. We liked the Nespresso coffee machine and the microwave in the room.
From someone who has lived in hotels for several years travelling for business...this is such a great little gem. The host is really friendly. The surrounding area is full of rich history. Go, stay and learn something new. Great breakfast.
