Very quiet and relaxing dispite a rainy weekend. Everything you would need is in the delightful cottage to have a BBQ or cook a full meal. Our second evening we went into Clyde River to a family restaurant and enjoyed that too.

Everything about this place was amazing: the decor (patina copper siding on walls, natural wood, steam punky industrial touches). Gorgeous. The sliding doors open to the sound of waves lapping. Quiet, peaceful area where you could hear a pin drop at night. Most comfortable bed I've slept in during my trip! Cheryl was so hospitable and kind. Incredible.

Absolutely everything. The dome is located in a lovely little forest, just a minutes walk from the beach. The dome is equipped with a little kitchenette, the owner even provides some fruit, coffee and fresh eggs from her farm. The bed is extremely comfortable, the views are amazing: during the day the ocean and at night the stars. The interior is so cozy and has been set up with so much love for detail: there are books, a vinyl player, games. The owner is so nice and helpful
This is an historic old town with a great harbour.
This is an historic old town with a great harbour. It has old buildings and has been used for movie sets. There is a dory museum and the fantastic Black Loyalist Museum in Birchtown. The waterfront is great for walking.
And you have to eat at Charlotte's Lane.

Shelburne is a very. very. very quiet town.
Shelburne is a very. very. very quiet town. Only one place to get food or drink-"Boxing Rock" and it is very limited with food and felt more like a community centre than pub. Historic museum village on waterfront but no amenities at all. Yacht club at end but members only!!!!!
Much better places to visit in NS, personally wouldn't recommend this place. AVOID!

Shelburne is a very pretty town.
Shelburne is a very pretty town. We basically used this area as 'home base" for travelling around the South Shore of Nova Scotia. We did walk (2 minutes from our Motel) to Boxing Rock for supper one evening and we walked (10 minutes) to the brand new Emerald Light Restaurant the other evening. Both facilities were great. Very nice people and great food.

Shelburne is a quaint little town on Nova Scotia's south shore. We were only there for the accommodations, as we were just looking for an affordable place to spend the night as we had been tenting and the weather had turned. Would definately recommend putting this little village on places to visit on the south shore.

There is no other place like Shelburne.
There is no other place like Shelburne. It's quaint, beautiful, welcoming and famous for its dory shop and whirlygigs. Restaurants are open and set up for social distancing. Waterfront restaurants serve excellent food and cool ocean breezes. The lobster sandwiches are memorable! We live in Nova Scotia and visit Shelburne every summer.
Such a beautiful Inn in a perfect location to visit Shelburne and surrounding areas. Amanda is so welcoming and we had a lovely relaxed stay. Really lovely building located right by the water, with great decor & great breakfast included. We enjoyed visiting the Dory Museum, farmers market, & emerald inn for food. Watching the sunset from the beautiful Inn garden was magic too.
Breakfast was great. It was nice to have choices. Location was also great. Right in Shelburne’s historic district on the water. Easy walking to restaurants or for a walk along the water front. Beautiful gardens along the side with comfortable seating around the gardens.
We immediately felt at home and started to talk about when we can return. Not only is it a perfect location for day trips to Barrington and Shelburne but there are amazing beaches a short drive away.
Everything! The location of our cottage was excellent! Short walk to the seashore. Very well equipped with everything! 30 minute drive to either Barrington or Shelburne.
