The price went up, the service went down. No microwave in the room? No cleaning of the room, just fresh towels.
High price for basic service. The breakfast improved since the year before. Very good choices. Great location, easy parking.

I enjoyed the many trail options and the gorgeous sunsets, especially viewed from Willington beach. Really enjoyed walking the well maintained seawall. Also, enjoyed the friendly pickleball club, they were very welcoming. The choice of diverse restaurants was appreciated. The people are relaxed and friendly. Our favourite restaurant was the Cookery in Powell river. Getting around via bike ,bus or shuttle option was easy.

I love Powell River!
I love Powell River! Am fortunate to have a friend living there who showed us things I wouldn't have found on my own. I'm interested in the arts so we visited several art galleries. Very inspiring!
We started in Lund ( great bakery!) and worked out way south.

Powell River is an amazing place if you are a lover of the outdoors. While the town itself has all the amenities you want from garages to large grocery stores, a few restaurants and some beaches, the best of this part of BC's lower mainland only accessible by ferry or private plane is the scenic coastline, the shorefront, the parks, and the wildlife.

Powell River is great if you like to get away from the fast pace city life. There is very little traffic! There are lots of different beaches to explore. There are also hiking trails in the woods. On our drive to Lund we saw 2 different bears by the side of the road. Then when we went to Gibsons Beach on another day we saw 2 bears again. We also saw soaring bald eagles. There are nice restaurants in town. But we preferred to cook our own food.
Willingdon Beach has a great playground for kids.

Inland Lake was awesome.
Inland Lake was awesome. You need about 6 km drive off road, bou you will not regret the drive. Walking around the lake is not something to be missed. Take food with you and enjoy a relaxed meal after a good swim in the lake!

Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit.
Powell River is a beautiful, well-kept place to visit. We have enjoyed the Historical Tour a lot. Another highlight, while waiting for the ferry was a walk to Costa de Sol Latin Cuisine where we had a wonderful outdoor lunch. There are great ocean views from many many places! We especially enjoyed the ferry trip from Saltery Bay to Earl's Cove and back, though with it being a busy summer day, the wait was long and hot in the Bay waiting area. Powell River is a bit locked-in as there are ferries to take in both directions, but we kept busy exploring for our two days. Travel around and on to the rest of the Sunshine Coast is a bit easier/quicker in the off-season, but we still enjoyed P River A LOT!!
I stay here every time I am in Powell River. The view is amazing any time of year, in fact you can watch the seasons change while you sit on your balcony. It can be raining and stormy one minute and the next the clouds part and you will witness the most beautiful sunset imaginable. The restaurant is great, nice patio in the summer, the staff are very accommodating and it is close enough to the town that you can hop in your car and be there in 5. I love the Pacific Point Market just up the road for deli, lunch, snack and picnic goodies.
Powell River is a pleasant town on along the water as you go up the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. We had a pleasant room with a view of the water and Marina and balcony.. Clean and pleasant room but a bit of noise from upstairs during the night. On site restaurant but we didn't try because it wasn't open. Breakfast was available at nearby restaurants (home town feel).. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were great:)
Good location if you are taking the ferry across to Vancouver Island:)
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The motel is the historic townsite of Powell River, constructed in the early 1910s. Walk around! The hosts were pleasant, the property well-maintained. There was no breakfast, but, I believe, all the rooms had a kitchenette, so I ate my own breakfast there. I would recommend this motel to anyone who happens to be in Powell River!
We enjoyed the vintage decor throughout the inn. Especially well done were the many artful displays in the lobby and hallways. We really enjoyed the check-in and orientation to our room--nice touch! The provided breakfast was very good in the restaurant. We had a choice of three menu options as hotel guests and opted for the Eggs Benny.
The staff was very friendly and it was a budget stay. A little ways out of Powell River, but a good option for low cost if visiting Powell river. Little picnic benches outside and a camp ground next door. Def clean enough, plus included a little kitchenette. Very Retro - feels like the late 1900's but very doable for a few nights stay.
Great owner great front clerk it’s a old old building so go with this in mind rooms work comfy cheap but you are by the mill it’s kind of part of the 120 year old charm great for work if you want pools free breakfast luxury you should go stay there but location price people cool old building great for work. The room was very comfortable, totally updated & great value for money. :0)
They hosts were very accomodating, friendly & even had a unique special gift of home baking waiting on the table.
I recommend this unit to anyone wanting to spend time in Powell River. :0)
The suite was perfect! It has a very functional kitchen, extra comfy bed, and lovely shower. Grant and Marg are absolutely lovely and super helpful and accommodating! I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Powell River.
second time this week I’ve stayed at this hotel. I will give a better review this time because we had a much nicer room with AC that worked very well
Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient as well as wait staff at breakfast
The location was stunning, the balcony had a panoramic view of the rainforest. Very easy access to Lund and Powell river. The apartment was very spacious and private, added bonus was having washing and drying facilities.
The location was fantastic, the cabin has trees all around, plus lots of light. Also being midway between Powell River and Lund was great for us, as we spent time in both locations as well as Okeover Inlet.
The location was good because it is a minute drive away from the BC Ferry Terminal that goes from Powell River to Comox. The city centre is quite close as well, which is less than a five minute drive away.
What an amazing place to
stay in Powell River! The cottage was so clean and comfortable and we instantly felt at home. Sue and Don are incredibly kind and helpful hosts.
