We had a wonderous and magical stay at Shannaghs Sweet escape, such a beautiful location in a cosy wooden cabin that suited the 4 of us and we were so well looked after by our hosts Scott and Shannagh who really made us feel really welcome 🙏.
The cabin is next to the Laughing oyster restaurant run by Scott and Shannagh which was an extra surprise to have a fantastic place to eat on site as well.
The views were beautiful surrounded by mountains down to okenover harbour and plenty of opportunities for hiking and canoeing in the area. It is a truly hidden gem! Thank you so much to our fabulous hosts.🫠if you are looking for a peaceful beautiful getaway this is for you.

The tiny home was pleasant and we loved that the veranda had a door on it - our dog (which was welcomed!) absolutely loved laying out on the deck & we felt comfortable knowing he wouldn’t be roaming the property. The beach access was awesome and the views are amazing!! The tiny home also was well equipped with everything we needed to make a stay of it!

This bnb was just lovely. Amazing location and the cabin! So cute with comfy beds - the kids LOVED the loft and the added touch of the hosts art on the walls - this place is very special. The kids also loved the bunnies and the ducks.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was central and made for a great home base while I travelled through town for work. The staff were kind and I had no issues.
Free continental breakfast was fresh and plenty of choice ….. muffins/pastries/bagels/toast,Yogurt and fruit , tea, coffee, juice. Lots of room in the restaurant to find a table.
Rooms were very clean and beds super comfy. Small fridge and a keurig coffee machine in room too. We stayed here for our sons hockey tournament once before and came back because it’s a great hotel for the price/ location.
The staff was very friendly and it was a budget stay. A little ways out of Powell River, but a good option for low cost if visiting Powell river. Little picnic benches outside and a camp ground next door. Def clean enough, plus included a little kitchenette. Very Retro - feels like the late 1900's but very doable for a few nights stay.
We planned to spend two nights here. Our sun has a terrible accident that requires a hospital stay. They made room for us and even juggled guests to keep us together as a family and in the same room. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Housekeeping made sure were were comfortable at all times. The Continental breakfast made it so much more affordable for the unexpected extra stay. So close to everything the location is excellent.
Location was great, walking distance to the ocean and great restaurants. The owners were very accommodating with our 170lb dog and very nice family. The room was nice and simple if you plan on being out and about in the outdoors and just need a place to refreshen and rest up before heading back out again. Simple, affordable, nice owners and great location!
