Although motel Christine is old and a bit shabby it was clean, warm, and welcoming. We enjoyed walking around the pleasant little town, and it was a great value stay on our way north.

What a fabulous idea to reutilize an old monastery into a peaceful location. We stayed at the Maison Zacharie on our way back to the south shore of Montreal. The whole building and garden are great, we were able to prepare our dinner in the gigantic kitchen and store our food in the commercial grade refrigerator. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a clean shared shower and bathroom.

The multiples activities offered by the hotel ( canoe, kayak, paddleboard, motorboat, hiking trails, bike renting, etc ..). The location is also exceptionnal, it's very calm and the lakeshore is perfect for stargazing.The staff was very kind and welcoming.
