We had room 315 with kitchenette. Microwave and two pits te cook. Beautiful mountain view. Large tv connection with the provider wasnt the best but we love to sit outside. Great gym and amazing pool and sauna. Breakfast was wonderful, we stayed 3 nights and every morning warm scrambled eggs bacon or saucauges , beans, potatoes. Yoghurt orange jus, cereals and fresh fruit. Everything looked clean and the room was large.

A great place to break a long drive on the TCH and for outdoor recreation there are plenty of opportunities. River based recreation shines. There are several good restaurants and we recommend The Turning Point.

Golden is a delightful City.
Golden is a delightful City. Great pubs, good restaurants, a movie theater, a community theater.
A beautiful walking bridge that gets you into the residential area.
A nice Museum and a nice Library.
Wolf's Den Pub is the best!! And the little breakfast spot downtown is just amazing.

Golden is a nice location actually. I generally stay in Radium but do feel that a few days in the Golden region would be nice -- lots of attractions to keep one busy thats for sure. They also have an amazing Mexican food restaurant.

A good location to stop if travelling across the mountains.
A good location to stop if travelling across the mountains. Close to several ski and mountain activies, with a wide range of wildlife in the area. The town itself has several amenities ranging from restaurants to supermakets (though if you go into the shop Save on Foods, make sure you get the code from the tubs with loose food before heading up to the checkout), with the river running alongside it. Petrol station, though doesn't sell diesel.

The Northern Lights Wolf centre and the Buffalo ranch were the two highlights of the tour, really amazing to experience these creatures so close but with great conservation efforts being made by both organizations.
The town of Golden was small but cute, probably a great spot for the ski season.

We booked this hotel/lodge because we were coming from Jasper and the following day, we are headed to Banff. Its quite secluded and there is no food to buy around the area. But the room has all the amenities needed. Very nice bathroom, dining room, and bedroom. The view from our room is mountain. There's a free parking at the basement, just inform the front desk. We were able to visit Emerald Lake and Natural bridge from this hotel and an hr away from Lake Louise Summer Gondola... This place is very good place for skiing
We stayed here a month and a half ago and were very satisfied with the hotel when it was half the price. Unfortunately, because it is the high season the price doubled! We ended up paying $243. per night. In no way is this hotel worth that kind of money. The room was clean and modern, but lacked a coffee maker and breakfast should have been included at that price. Would only stay there again if the price went back to the off season rate. The staff were helpful and friendly.
If you are thinking of booking a room in a hotel in Golden book here instead. We had full use of the hot tub and the entire walk out basement is separate from the rest of the house. There are lots of dvds to watch and plenty of space for our little one to run around. They also had a nice play pen for us to use as a crib. I just found the beds to be a bit soft but that is just a preference. We will check here first for our next Golden visit!
Perfect location on the outskirts of a golden for exploring much of the area. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. It was lovely to chat and get ideas about plans for the day, Kat and Paul were most welcoming. We would certainly book here again if we were visiting this area, thankyou, it was lovely to meet you all.
Kicking horse mountain, Emerald lake, and all the waterfalls are a must!
The king-size bed was very comfortable, I had a great sleep, and they provided so many pillows! It was nice to have the robes for wear down to the pool/ hot tub area.
I also liked that this hotel had a hot coffee bar in the lobby.
Breakfast was available in the morning through the hotel, muffins were good.
Restaurant adjacent to hotel (on corner) has delicious food as well!
Staff are really helpful. Great location, ski in/ski out with ease. The kitchenette had everything we needed! Toaster/kettle/microwave/plates/cutlery etc for easy breakfasts and lunches. Hot tub is great, you have to book to use it but we had no problems. Sauna is great too and the gym was pretty good for a hotel gym.
Our bed was so comfy and the pillows were the best.
We had an exceptional experience at Golden Acres! Their home is stunning, our room was huge, incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Cathy is an amazing chef and breakfast was an experience. Had I known how amazing our stay would be I would have booked more than 2 nights. We can’t wait to return.
Excellent stay at the hotel. Room was great. Breakfast had a decent selection. We arrived late in the evening. The lady at check-in was lovely. The location in Golden is excellent because it can be a jumping off point to enter Alberta (Banff, Lake Louise).
Spacious, well-appointed hotel.
Room was comfy, with good lighting.
Breakfast had a good selection, including hot foods.
We used the pool and hot tub on the evening of our arrival and we were the only ones using that facility.
Beautiful suite, very comfortable. Very clean. Hostess Jeannie was super nice, and she also warned us ahead of travelling about a temporal road closure near Golden - very attentive! Breakfast was terrific. Nothing but praise!
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and large room with kitchenette, very comfortable room and bathroom;
very good bar/grill in the hotel;
easy parking;
very silent room to the backside of the hotel
Good 2 nights stay for long weekend leisure holiday.
will book this hotel again when we visit Golden in the future.
especially like the 5 minute walk to the Chinese food restaurant.
The room was basic, and although it's an older hotel that has seen some water issues, the room was clean and quiet and it was a great place to stop to break up the trip.
