The location was great. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was good but could have been hotter for my likes. The coffee was excellent. The coffee machine in the lobby was great. Wish all BW had that.

Mike at the front desk was phenomenal, very friendly and welcoming, called me by first name and shook my hand, also had a welcome gift for the dog. Next time I’m in Fernie will be staying here.

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was so so altho, the breakfast manager was very helpful. Breakfast room was insufficient for the crowd and people had to wait for a table.

It's a very picturesque town mainly focused at the footsteps of mountains for winter activity and hiking in summer. We were here during early spring and the pathways can be a bit muddy as you hike higher. Nonetheless, would love to be here again.
We did the fairy Creek falls hike and visited Mt. Fernie Provincial Park. Lots to do here if you are a nature lover. The drive is beautiful with a small downtown full of eateries and shopping places. Also has variety of dine in options including a steak place just on the main road. It has almost everything that you can ask for in a small town.

Fernie has made a successful transition from a mining town to a destination outdoor recreation center (biking, skiing, climbing, fishing, etc.). Its historic main street has a good variety of small, locally owned businesses with good food and drink, sports shops, and general retail. The people are friendly and very helpful.

We loved the whole experience.
We loved the whole experience. The skiing, of course, is always fantastic, but so was Griz Days (the whole town gets involved). We also attended a sold out Ghostriders playoff game that was really electric and enjoyed some of Fernie's food/restaurant offerings that really compete with the calibre you'd get in any large city.

Fernie has great and plenty of accommodations but with many many construction workers and it being summer I would highly recommend booking far in advance of your stay. The Hostel is rough and the basic of amenities in the room. Take your own towels. Sounds outrageous but we weren't offered towels, what services were available, or offered anything other than the room at check in. I have stayed in hostels that were quite comfortable but I would never recommend the Raging Elk to anyone. There were no rooms available except this place . We had business in Fernie otherwise we would have carried on to Cranbrook.

Fernie is a great little town.
Fernie is a great little town. I liked the shops as they were unique and offered different options. Also liked buying items that were made locally. The mountain view was amazing, loved how the mountains surrounded the town. The bagel shop food was great. I loved the chocolate shop as the chocolate was made locally which is why I made a purchase there. Some of the clothing in stores were very pricey, seemed to be good quality though. Very friendly service experience everywhere I shopped.
One of the best value/money hotel in Fernie. Good location, minutes from the Fernie Alpine Resort and the downtown.
Our room was on the river side so less noisy than on road side. Room fit 6 persons (2dble queen + 1 king).
The breakfast is good and you can eat on the terrace. Also there is a restaurant in the hotel, indian/western food which was good. Nice swimming pool with a big slide for the kids.
We love the location. Definitely right in the mountains. Beautiful walks around the property. Away from the main town, but a quick drive will take you to Fernie's downtown.
The room was plenty large enough, and the kitchen was well stocked. The bed was comfortable and clean.
Any interaction with staff was super friendly.
I booked a couple of pods for myself and a friend to spend the weekend mountain biking in Fernie. The pods were super neat, I really enjoyed the lockable cubby where I could store my things, the dimmable lights and mirror were a great touch. The bar on site was an awesome spot to grab a pint and enjoy some live music.
There were junior hockey teams there, and the hotel staff kept the noise down! The outdoor hot tub was great. The room was clean. Staff was polite. The breakfast was better than many places. I would stay again if they continue to price themselves competitively. Close to the trails for walking and dogs.
The bed was very comfortable. I appreciated having the microwave and fridge. Nice toiletries provided and the towels were fluffy. The hot breakfast was just fine, better than many other hotel "serve yourself breakfasts".
I didn't get to use it but the pool looked really nice and it is a decent size.
We got a corner room in a separate building and enjoyed peace and great neighbourhood for walking our dogs. There is also a pizza booth nearby that I would recommend. The hotel itself is not brand new but tidy and rooms have decent size with everything you need. We would love to come back.
Dogs are really welcome in this hotel, the room had a dedicated spot for our dog, he was welcome with treats and even got his own towel!
Huge highlight was the fact that the hotel was nicely renovated. It made the stay pleasant.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The location great as it is right off the highway and close to town. The pool was my sons favourite part of hotel, but he also liked the games room. There were great views as well.
The bed was super comfy. Nice and clean. More room than we expected! There were no other vacancies in Fernie and we HAD to stop for the night. It ended up being much nicer than we expected and a good value for the cost.
The location of the hotel is amazing and for the price they provide what is required. The staff were really good. Nice to have hooks for hanging/drying clothes at the entrance and having a microwave in the room.
Property was clean and quiet. The suites are a decent size for 2 people. They are a bit dated, but clean with all the essentials. The staff were friendly and helpful. Downtown Fernie is a 10 minute drive away.
Breakfast? I was unaware of breakfast.. paid a great price to be in the resort.. it was clean and hassle free.. people were nice… value is in being on the hill and it has that for way less than others
on my past stays here I have liked that the hotel was a bit minimalist with a DIY guest services approach.. common kitchen, laundry machines, and a quite good hot tub.
Super happy with this comfy, fun little hotel. Loved the fox motif!
Staff were friendly and helpful, fresh coffee in the foyer in the morning. Glad we chose it!
