Oh my goodness! We give The Gables a 10/10! Lois and Bill are exceptional hosts. Each breakfast is a feast for the eyes and tastebuds; the historic home is so well maintained in character and cleanliness; anything you could want or need is provided with genuine cheerfulness and friendliness; the rooms (& beds) are bright and very comfortable; the hot tub is a bonus! Collingwood with its trails and attractions is very close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lois and Bill are BORN to be BandB hosts!

Location was superb for me, but others should be aware there is a lot of dirt roads to get to location. Very quiet and serene never heard a peep from other patrons. Only the crickets, chickens and nature, was awesome. Loved the fact that the hot tubs are open 24/7 as long as you are quiet and respectful of course. Appreciated the bottled water and free soda in the fridge upon arrival. Enjoyed the fact that even after check out you may remain on property for the day. The Inn has thought of everything, slippers, robes, firewood, marsh mellows and sticks, hot coco, hot apple cider. A lot of little unexpected perks.

The female owner wouldn’t let a special needs grandchild be in their room for a couple hours a in the afternoon while waiting for the wedding. They kicked him out!!! I still don’t even understand how they could do that. They said no guests allowed “read the fine print”
He was not in any way being a problem. Still trying to figure out their very inflexible way of operating.
This is one of three bad incidents for three of our wedding guests.

Lovely 'rural' area with great access to town. We enjoyed visiting Duntroon Cyder house especially and they passed on some great recommendations for Amy's Bakery and tips for a future cider related trip we will definitely be planning!!
Duntroon is much like I remember it from years ago! A lovely escape from our busy lives!
