Absolutely blown away by this magnificent place. It oozes style and character and we could not have stayed in a more comfortable place. Mike and Cindy are incredible hosts and they really could not be more hospitable. They made us feel so very welcome.

Location was perfect. The cottage was very clean and had all that you would need for cooking baking sheets, pots, pans utensils everything. It exceed our expectations.

My sister and I had a 2 night stay at the school house inn! The owners are real sweet hearts especially Eva ! And her food is amazing. My sister and I felt so comfortable and taken care of. We love that it's a small business so it was quiet and felt like home in a way... and Eva's Cafe is so good .. a lot is made with food from her garden! So fresh and yummy ! And the town ppl who eat there are also nice it all had a small town vibe ! It was great🥰

What I liked most about Deacon was that is was a small friendly town and Golden Lake is absolutely stunning. The Sands on Golden Lake is a great place for lunch and dinner with an amazing view of the Lake. It is just over an hours drive to Algonquin park.
