Absolutely blown away by this magnificent place. It oozes style and character and we could not have stayed in a more comfortable place. Mike and Cindy are incredible hosts and they really could not be more hospitable. They made us feel so very welcome.

Location was perfect. The cottage was very clean and had all that you would need for cooking baking sheets, pots, pans utensils everything. It exceed our expectations.

Sandor and Eva are super hospitable and really went the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The fact that it this was the old schoolhouse and they have left some original features gives the property a real charm
And the food.... well... wow... proper delicious homemade cooking, only empty plates after you eat for sure!
Room was spacious,bed comfy and nice and peaceful.
Great base to visit all the natural.beauty in the area, and algonquin is only an hour away down the road

What I liked most about Deacon was that is was a small friendly town and Golden Lake is absolutely stunning. The Sands on Golden Lake is a great place for lunch and dinner with an amazing view of the Lake. It is just over an hours drive to Algonquin park.
