The city is quite nice but it's the countryside around it that truly makes it. If you like hiking and views then it's great.
We ate at Paraíso da Serra which was amazing with the best views and at Vila St Gallen which was a little bit of Switzerland in Brazil!
This is a lovely, comfortable hotel in the perfect area for hiking in the national park each day - just a 10 or 15min walk and you're wandering through the jungle! The rooms are very comfortable and have a pleasant view over the valley. Breakfast was delicious. And at first the staff seemed unhappy that my Portuguese wasn't great... but then they brought out a brilliant guy who was very happy to explain everything in English.
Overall, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Teresopolis.
We were very well welcomed by a young man. He offered probably the best customer service that we had during our trip in Brazil. The facilities for kids were great. The hotel was quiet and we had a beautiful view on the montains. We really enjoyed our stay. Gret location. We walked to have diner.
The Hotel is well located in Teresópolis: near to stores, restaurants, supermarkets and to the main road. Well maintained, clean and really comfortable rooms. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is Brazilian standard but with good quality products.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and amazing staff. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Teresopolis. The best of my stay were the breakfast , amazing food, fresh and delicious.
I liked how the Hotel had the European look from outside , the place is very outdated , they need to work on the comfort and cleaness aspect of it. The water bottle cost $5 reais and is half size of a regular bottle. Breakfast was okay.
All the buildings were carefully designed to high specifications and set delightfully into the dramatic scenery. It was a short walk to the national park of Teresopolis and down to Teresopolis Alta shops and restaurants.

Convenient location except for the unfortunate situation of the university entrance being right opposite the hotel which means there is a full on traffic jam at certain times of the day making access difficult.
