Beach and surf town with a very relaxed atmosphere. There are many restaurants, but the very best food is outside the city in a place called Cafe com Cacau. The food and the people there are worth a trip to Itacare.
For tours, you have only two options, in my opinion - Dona (Sra.) Cida, a 74 years old lady who will show you the beauties of Itacare beaches and forests. And Leo, he is a master tour guide who is born and raised in Itacare, he knows every place and everyone in town.
The place is really beautiful and clean, well decorated and you really can enjoy same time off and relax. The hotel gives you all that is necessary and you don’t even feel like going out there. The food is amazing but what really makes the difference here is the staff, everyone working to make you time great! specifically with Breno during the dinner, great drinks from Rodrigo and Felipe , and the excellence in service, right in the morning with the happy girls and explanations from Sil. I am definitely coming back.
The hotel is beautifully built on a hill overlooking the town and beaches. It’s just removed enough to be peaceful, but close enough to town that you can quickly drive down or walk, if you don’t mind the steep hill on the way back up. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The cocoa theme was super fun and made for some delicious cocktails and breakfasts. The pool was also a fantastic place to relax after long, hot days on the beach or hiking. The whole hotel is so wonderfully designed.
Very helpful reception staff who spoke very good English, a bonus in Itacare. Good food. Lovely views of the ocean from the main area. Dining and seating all open plan, so a very relaxed atmosphere. Decent infinity lap pool, more of a dipping pool to cool down in. One is very much on display if sunbathing which I wasn’t there to do as this was a stop off point before moving on. So be prepared for the diners to have a full view of you sunbathing, and diners be aware you have a full view of the sunbathers..
Breakfast is outstanding. But, no seats enough at all. A tiny breakfast area for loads of room with 4 bunk bed in each room. I had no seat for myself. I use the wall to put my plates on.
Location is a nightmare in the heart of a fashion mall. It's not Bahia, it's not even Brazil. It's a fake district that is so fake as a cinematographyc place. Fleed away from Itacaré. Go to Barra Grande taking a boat from CAMAMU. Nativus boat on Mondays, on Wednesdays, on Fridays and Saturdays at 12 pm.
I spent a night here with my girlfriend and we both left wishing we could’ve stayed longer. The hotel itself is situated with a beautiful view of the delta. The ambiance is exactly what I’m looking for in a hotel: elegant and comfortable, without being gaudy or pretentious. The entire staff was incredibly kind to us and the owner suggested a great restaurant. Great breakfast as well. We’ll be back soon!
Our time in Itacare would not have been the same without the genuine care and support from Claudio and Tania. They were impeccable with their recommendations and guidance throughout our time, always treating us with such kindness and going over the top with their hospitality. This place is such a gem, perfectly located and great quality of rooms! We truly felt welcomed like we were family! Gratidão!
Very nice place run by very friendly people. Beto and Fernanda (I hope I remembered her name right) and all the staff were very nice to us. The room was perfectly clean, the breakfast was excellent, the place is very close to the Concha beach and also the main pedestrian street of Itacaré, so actually it really has the perfect location. Overall it was a very nice place to stay.
This place is fantastic! It’s beautiful, in a great location, and has amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Communication with the pousada was great. Breakfast was delicious and had a great view of the garden with birds and marmosets! The room was comfortable and the bed wasn’t too hard. Wish we could have stayed longer! We loved Ilha Verde and Itacaré! Highly recommend.
The hotel is beautiful, the two pools are very nice and the view of the river even nicer. The breakky was awesome, many options and staff really attentive and nice. There are two golden retrivers who live in the property (which is very big) and 2 cats, o it's a highlight for people who like animals! The room was clean, spacious and nice.
The employees where very very kind. for our daughter’s birthday they even made a cake and decorated our room for her! alle of them treated us very kindly. also the hotel was very pleasant, a very green environment, nice music around the pool area and super close to the town centre. This we will not forget.
Big rooms with comfortable bed that is cleaned daily. The location is super convenient to walk to all the restaurants and beaches. The staff was super accommodating. There is a great shared kitchen that is fully stocked. Smart TV and A/C. I extended my stay in Itacare because of here. I highly recommend!
Everything since we made de booking, the communication from the hotel is amazing, when we arrive we are served a welcome drink and chocolate, the view from our room is fabulous, the best pressure shower ever, the staff make sure you are felling at home I never will forget that experience.
Ilha Verde is a green paradise in Itacaré. Close to the city and the beaches, you can reach everything by foot. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious! Definitely recommend to spend some days there when you are going to Itacaré!

The location is fantastic, close to all beaches with Itacare and the passarelas. The pousada is more of a boutique property, has a nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and the room was exceptionally clean
Complete house that is great for families or groups. Offers way more privacy than any hotel. If you intend to stay more than a weekend, but less than a month this is optimal.
