Spectacular beaches, that run for miles. The Cathedral on the main square is incredible. Not in great state of repair, but the architecture and interior are breathtaking. Some very food restaurants/ churrascarias - choose the ones off the sea front for best value and best/ healthiest food choices. Some good spicy foods as well. The dawns and sunsets are spectacular. Despite reports of robberies, it feels and appears relatively safe, safer than Salvador for sure.

The city is a little decadent but it has its charm and a lot of culture, beautiful sites and buildings.
There are good places to go for food and traditional activities such as capoeira.
Its worth it going to a Candonble Terrain to get on touch with spirituality.
Unfortunately the “government” is constructing a on new port that is going to destroy the beautiful nature around to export soy and minerals to the first world countries.
The hotel is in a great location, and we had sea view which is nice. It's a pretty hotel.
The restaurant is not great. The door stays opens and you eat the fumes from the cars that pass by. It's also really old and dated. The food is good although overpriced for what it is.
The staff is nice but not much personality.
We had stayed at the hotel two doors down from them and had a much more pleasant experience.
At arrival we got informed that the booking was not received by them and that they had no rooms available. This was sorted by the management of the hotel by arranging a stay at a nearby hotel for the same price and they would cover the difference were this accommodation was more expensive.
Great location in the middle of Ilheus’ central, old-town district, with a calm and enclosed courtyard for a bit of peace. Beautiful buildings with many art installations and objects d’art. A very enjoyable breakfast and an air-conditioned room— what more could you want?
it was small paradise in a perfect location directly at the beach. The hotel‘s design was modern with a combination of nature. Very nice combination. very friendly staff. Breakfast was very good with great variety. The tea selection was good.
It is right at the centre of Ilheus so it is very much a convenient base in the city. And the price is quite reasonable, even verging on the cheap if you are travelling with somebody else. The bed was comfortable and the toilet was huge.
I was really impressed with the staff. They were all extremely friendly and helpful at all times. The Beach is gorgeous. Great location easy access to Ilheus/Itacare. Loved my stay and will definitely recommend and return.
Great place to stay. A few steps from the beach, quiet street, very clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. The staff is amazing and the breakfast is all you need to start a great day in Ilhéus.
Its my favorite place in Brazil so far! Its just so peaceful and quiet. The view is spectacular. Perfect place to enjoy family time and unwind. The staff is great and the breakfast super abundant.
Great little Hidden Gem! It feels like paradise! Food it’s so high end and gourmet doesn’t feel like you are in Ilheus. My Favorite Pousada in the entire area. Gonna be back soon.
The place was very nice staff was horrible almost attacking us verbally creating unneeded buracracy ,the hotel is run by KARENS ,they created unneeded timely buracracy
I came back after visited Iracare, I love the pausada, like a comfortable nest in ilhéus, nice and tasty breakfast, delicious muqueqa dishes and juices
