I loved the location, it's right by the beach. The room is comfortable and very simple, the swimming pool and rooftop bar are great, very relaxing space (it opens at 9 am). My favorite thing was the restaurant, I was there for a few days and had the chance to try a lot of dishes: loved them. The breakfast is okay; nothing special. Wifi works very well. The hair saloon works wonderfully, very attentive and the hotel shop has a good selection of beach clothing and essentials. Room service works like a charm. Last thing: they give you beach towels so you don't have to worry about anything. I'll be coming back for sure.

You must visit beaches with hour away, don't go over two hours drive because roads are nit very comfortable.
Thai is why I do recommend a tour guide like Milton.

Nothing interesting to justify a stay. We had been robbed the mobile phone in the first 2 hours of our arrival, in a quiet and modern city mall.
The beaches are nothing special, the sea difficult to enter due to the many rocks right at the bottom
Just stay the minimum you need and head for better places. Only interesting area is the fish market where you buy the seafood and nearby restaurants cook it for you.

It's a huge city and tourism has not recovered to pre-epidemic levels. The grates, tall walls, electric fences and graffiti alert you to potential trouble. The beaches are fabulous and the night life active, but tourists should take common sense precautions. The evening artisan fair on the city beach is a must visit.

What a beautiful city! the sites and view of the bay was spectacular. I felt very safe walking from the hotel to the row of restaurants along the water.
And the food was spectacular. I cannot wait to return.

And it seems like there are pockets of good spots. But overall the city is very dated. Very grimy and very polluted.
As a foreigner i would not recommend there are much nicer places in Brasil.
Fortaleza is over priced and underwhelming
The location is great, close to the beach with lots of leisure options. The building amenities are great and the safety measures handy. The balcony and its hammock were amazing. The breakfast was good, with enough options, plus fresh and excellent tapioca and cuscuz (regional dishes) cooked by request.
For a solo traveler, if you increase your budget a bit more you can find a nice hotel in the same area to stay.
