Leaving for an early morning bus, the front desk called but couldn’t find any taxis — so the front desk guy drove me to the bus station in his own car!! I was amazed at his kindness and he also wouldn’t accept any money. In addition it’s rare to find a hotel in this area with a pool and jacuzzi. Also, I noticed a huge play area for kids including an enclosed trampoline.

Beautiful boutique hotel in VT. The building itself is stunning and the street it is located on is quiet and residential but within walking distance to the main attractions. We were lucky enough to stay in the presidential suite which is in a converted cellar with its award winning bathroom and free standing bath.
The personal touches to the hotel really do make it stand out as exceptional, from the reserved table at Shtastliveca or a seat at the sound & light show, to the scent diffusers in the room carefully selected to promote a natural sleep. Breakfast was one of the best we had on our entire trip to Bulgaria, everything is fresh, natural and healthy. The host is charming, personable and eager to impart local knowledge to help you plan your time in VT.

This is a lovely historical city with lots of character and charm. There is plenty to do and see for all ages - from the famous Tsaravets fortress, the old town and churches, wine tastings, and museums, I can recommend the Museum of Illusions which is very fun and interesting. There are also brilliant cafes and restaurants to suit every budget - we particularly like Shtastliveca Restaurant which has a lovely terrace with great views. Best to book though as it is very popular. The only downside is the parking which can be difficult. Beware of the clamping and towing signs so make sure you do park legally!

The town is beautiful, hidden in the mountains with a rich medieval history. Seems pretty quiet during the day because the heat can get up to 37degrees in summer but it is very lively in the evening with many cool bars and pubs.

We happened to be there for 2 very hot days which made...
We happened to be there for 2 very hot days which made walking to and around Tsarevets fortress difficult but it is well worth a visit. The old part of town is also full of interesting buldings, shops and craft workshops.
We went to a restaurant called (Le?) Jardin for dinner on both evenings. Here we could sit out and there was a good variety of tasty food.
As we were travelling by public transport and not having smart phones a map of city bus routes would have been very useful. We were able to find a bus from the fortress back to town and this was good. We wanted to go to the Bulgaria mini park but in the end did not because it was too far to walk in the heat. We had to settle for viewing from afar from the Baldwin Tower in the fortress.

I liked everything!The hotel is very clean,the rooms are spacious ,comfortable and very warm during the winter. From our room 332 we had a great view of Tsarevets.Staff is great as well!Delicious breakfast!The hotel is located not far from the main street but there is no sidewalk so walking to the city center is somehow tricky,however as we witnessed the taxi costs only 3 lv to hotel Yantra,3.50 to Tsarevets and 4 lv to Mother Bulgaria monument.Overall exellent value for money and strongly recommended!
The communication previous to the the checkin was very kind, and once at the hotel the staff was very nice. The hotel is very well located and it's beautiful inside. The room was quiet and well equipped. Bathroom was very comfortable (more than average in Bulgaria). The price was very reasonable and it also included the breakfast.
We stayed at Hotel Studio for one night and was a good option from this perspective. It is very close to the castle. The staff at the reception was very nice with restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was good, with some traditional products.
