The location is great, very central in Tryavna, easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, tourist areas, train station, supermarket. We booked last minute, at around 7pm in the evening, and the hotel contacted us promptly to make sure we knew how to get there, how to check in and where to park. The management and staff are friendly and helpful. It was a cold night in early February and the room was cold at first because we had booked late - but warmed up pretty quickly with the aircon. The attached private bathroom was also very clean. The wifi worked well. The bed was comfortable but would have been nicer with some extra bedding/blankets in winter as it felt too minimal. On the corridor you can find some shared facilities, like an ironing board and iron, and a small shared kitchen with toaster, kettle, sink, cups, glasses utensils etc.

It’s easy to reach from everywhere , free town parking.
Balabanova house it’s a cozy and clean restaurant, however they close early so be prepared to be done with dinner just after 10pm.

Charming town with many nice shops, restaurants and friendly people. Easy to find clothes, leatherware, sweets and other locally produced products. Many interesting museums and sights. Take a walk also outside town into the hills.

Tryavna is a beautiful town whether you are visiting the old or new town, there is a lovely park and pedestrian area in the main town, with some fabulous restaurants. There is a great Indian restaurant (which are few and far between in Bulgaria) called Savoya Spice. Walk across the famous bridge and your in cobbled street in he old town. there are lots of tourist shops and some fabulous wood carving studios. Lots of museums and sights to see. Well worth a visit.

Tryavna has a scenic old town part that would call to anyone with an interest in the history of the region. The proximity to Gabrovo and the open aid museum 'Etar' makes it an ideal spot for a 'home base'while exploring the region.
A local recommended 'Chukara' - a winery and restaurant where the food as well as the service was great. With a panoramic view of the town that restaurant won us over immediately.

Tryavna is a beautiful small town in the Balkans. Very good for short walks and starting point for mountaineering with family. People are friendly, but be aware of where you park your car, as local police has no mercy for tourist. I recommend Tryavna for weekends with friends!

I recommend at least a 5-day stay in Tryavna. The town center is beautiful and the museums and house-museums are worth a visit. There are many possibilities for hikes including Dryanovo monastery and Bacho Kiro cave, Bozhentsi village and more.
The hotel was clearly designed with thought and passion throughout - traditional style, lots of beautiful woodwork and old antiques to be seen. I really enjoyed the terraces outside of the rooms; a lovely place to have a coffee.
The hosts/owners were extremely welcoming and kind, which always makes a stay in any hotel even better.
The location is around 10/15 minutes outside of Tryavna, so perfect if you prefer a stay that’s somewhere a little quieter, where you can see the stars at night and hear the birds sing in the morning.
Hotel and facilities were great. The food at the two restaurants was exceptional, the SPA part was well organized and clean, the wine and the winery tour were also quite nice! I was also really impressed that the complex is saving and hosting animals (mostly donkeys :D) to provide them with a decent life, its amazing to see a place like that with such a noble mission, not seen very often. Tryavna, the city the hotel is located in, is also very pleasant to visit
We had the most wonderful stay in hotel Compliment! The staff was great, the location is perfect, the room itself was very clean, it had all the necessary commodities - free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fridge, a TV etc. There are even board games in the hotel you can play. I would definitely go back if I visit Tryavna again.
Great room with balcony facing inner courtyard, great staying in either of the buildings (we stayed before in Complimenti). Hope they manage to get better breakfast arrangements in time (choices rather modest, true, at a super affordable price). Most likely will come back when in Central Bulgaria!
Family Hotel Biju is situated very near the city centre. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can drink coffee or home made lemonade in the snack bar ,which is in the garden of the hotel. The breakfast- tasty hot sandwiches with ham and yellow cheese is also served here.
This is a very calm and beautiful place, overlooking the whole Tryavna! The air is super fresh, and there are pine trees all around. You can have a very quiet and relaxing time, the food in the restaurant is fresh and good quality, and the staff is welcoming.
The room had new furniture and was clean. The pool was of good size. The hotel has its own parking and there was also more space to park in front of it. The staff was polite. You can have a nice walk around the lake nearby.
This is one very nice, comfy, spacious and very clean hotel. It is located in the center of Tryavna. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, and traditional cafes right in front of the complex.
Very luxurious and more than we have expected, in great location - in the center of Tryavna, very quiet and comfy place. Will be definitely back when we travel again! I recommend :)
