Staff was very helpful. When we alerted them to the strong cooking fumes in the room first assigned to us, they immediately attended to the issue and offered to change our room to another room free of that issue. She also gave us good recommendations on restaurants.

Where do I start? Simply the absolute best hotel in all of Europe, at least where I have stayed and I have been in many. I was here in 2018 with family and we loved it. I took my wife this time and she loved it too! The Cartlon Hotel sets the gold standard of how hotels should be run. Boutique hotels like this are a rare breed. Run by a family they know there business and nothing had changed since my visit in 2018. I would come back to Gent, Belgium just to stay at this hotel.

ALL WENT WELL Nice hotel and room. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast. FREE CAR PARKIING. Room was clean and well taken care of. All services and equipment worked good. Small restaurant with good food. Bus transportation immediately outside the property. If you rather the TRAM is about 15-20 minutes walk near by. Both are good and get you to Ghent Central station.
