The hotel is very good. From outside you might miss it, as the reception is blended along the street shops.
I took the junior suite which was very spacious. The toilets were big and up to date.
The restaurant area was good.
The staff were very helpful. They could use some English training, but tried their best to communicate and Wahid was the most helpful
The location is right in the centre of the busy street.
Wifi was excellent, which was also very surprising from my experiences in other hotels in the country.
All in all , the room was unexpectedly the second best room I took un azerbaijan.
Vego Hotel offers rooms in the historic center of Ganja, opposite to the Old Square and Shah Abbas Mosque. The property has free Wi-Fi access throughout.

As described in the Lonely Planet guidebook, there were plenty of historical sites to see, as well as several good restaurants and cafes. In addition, the train there from Baku was an efficient way of visiting.

First of all, I should mention that after Baku, Ganja is one of the most historical and beautiful cities of Azerbaijan. If Baku is the capital of eastern Azerbaijan, Ganja is the capital of western Azerbaijan. Ganja is the city of the world-famous Azerbaijani Nizami Ganjavi, if you happen to be in Ganja, be sure to visit his mausoleum. Ganja is a very safe, clean, historical and delicious city. If you go to Ganja, you must eat Ganja dovga, Ganja baklava (pakhlava) and Ganja cream (qaymaq). Prices are very cheap compared to Baku. From Ganja go to Goy Gole and Togana forests. In Ganja you must see the beautiful Park of Sycamore Trees, Shah Abbas Mosque and Bath Complex and Sabir Street. Ganja is a very multicultural city. Jews, Muslims, Sunni and Shia Muslims have friendly residents living in peace. In conclusion, let me note that Azerbaijan is a secular, multi-ethnic and tolerant country. Visit once rather than hear 100 times.

Ganja is such a beautiful, historical city with Safavid, Khanate and Soviet era monuments. Definitely visit city museum, Nizami Mausoleum, “Maksati Ganjavi” centre and other cultural places. I recommend Xoyski and Kolorit as cafe, Şah Sarayı as restaurant!

It has the amazing, breath taking Goygol Lake. And the weather is perfect , the snow all over was just mind blowing. We went to purchase clothes and jackets, their shops had very good quality clothings with very reasonable affordable prices. Probably Ganja was the funnest part of our journey in Azerbaijan till now.

The city is very beautiful.
The city is very beautiful. Next to our hotel is Sabas Khan Mosque, the Philharmonia with 2 splendid fountains in front. A model of Canvad Khan Mausoleum is to admire. There is Imamzadeh Mausoleum very worth to visit.
