Staying at the Nightcap Hotel Victor was within a short walking distance of the main street for Cafes, takeaway food and shops . A short distance to Granite Island Causeway which you can walk over to the Island or catch the Horse drawn tram which is a wonderful experience for young and old. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Museums and the train Station for the Tourist train to Goolwa and Back. Victor Harbor is a good base to drive and explore the close towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton and also the Fleurieu peninsula.

Lovely town with gorgeous buildings.
Lovely town with gorgeous buildings. Easy to walk around lots of restaurants and cafes. I recommend going to the information centre in town, we found the staff super helpful. The scenery is beautiful, if you have a car there are plenty of lovely drives and small towns around Victor Harbor. We were there in April so recommend bring jackets and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We did the train to Goolwa, it was ok just disappointed the steam engine wasn’t running.
We had takeaway at Noodle Bento in the main shopping centre, delicious! Chicken Laksa and Mongolian Beef, thumbs up!
Nino’s for coffee and their egg and bacon rolls another thumbs up!

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit. We walked to Granite Island and around the main part of town. They had the Artisan markets plus the general Sunday markets which are always fun to visit .
Even though it was a long weekend the supermarkets were opened if you needed to purchase anything
Dinner at Nino's did not disappoint, beautiful food and great service

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week, busy on weekends as tourists flock into the area.. local pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. The location offers many activities for families and all ages.. beaches, fishing, hiking. Several coastal townships nearby - literally 5 minutes away to drive, with so much history to explore. Regular local markets and activities, fun runs, art displays in the park, walks across to Granite Island, and much more... all free - with a few boat rides and train rides and even camel rides at reasonable prices.
If you like the quiet atmosphere, skip school holidays.. but if you are OK with the friendly busy vibe.. plenty to enjoy for all.. sideshow rides and park stalls go up in busier times - ofcourse, the horse tram to the Island is a staple for all to enjoy.

Victor Harbour is a beautiful seaside location on the Fleurieu Peninsula offering plenty of walks, beach strolls and parks for picnics or relaxing. The historical tramway is a fun way to access Granite Island - where further scenic walks are available - or access by the causeway is also a good option. The Cockle Train rides between Victor Harbour and Goolwa are nostalgic and fun and allow you to hop on and hop off to enjoy Port Elliott and Middleton along the way.
There are plenty of accommodation options, shops to browse, coffee shops and eateries for a variety of food. The town also has medical services, major supermarkets, hardware stores and other service providers. Other interesting places to see on the Peninsula are accessible by car. A great place to holiday!
We stayed two nights and were given an excellent, spacious room for the price, with a wonderful view across the golf course to the ranges. The facilities were top notch and clean, the bed was very comfy and the only noise we heard was a passing thunderstorm! The breakfast (included in our rate) was tasty and filling. The Danish pastries were especially good. The foyer staff were always helpful and friendly. While we didn't use the indoor pool, sauna or the gym, I did have a look at them and came away impressed.
The location, the decor, the right size, the cleanliness, the quietness, the onsite parking, the amenities. TV viewing options and access to Netflix and the like. How close it was on foot to the main drag of Victor Harbor. The Pubs. The weather. The people were all lovely and friendly. The history of the place. The Clydsdale tram ride. Granite Island. The Dolphins. The best dining, food, wine & negroni at Nino's Restaurant EVER!!! Thank you for everything.. Loved it all!
Great location, handy to beach, shops, restaurants (easy walking distance). Plenty of supplied crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils etc. and loads of coffee, tea, and other cooking requirements. Great little pod coffee maker. Excellent WiFi. Very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, bedding etc. So nice to have a washing machine, which worked very well.
This is a fabulous apartment in a great location. Very comfortable, spotless and nice decor. We loved everything about it and wished we could have stayed longer. Victor Harbor is beautiful and we picked the best place to enjoy it all from. Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the view.
Great security and the wine and chocolates were a nice surprise.
Super comfy bed (and comfy couch too!), warm and cosy bedroom and clean, spacious bathroom. A delicious large breakfast that Marilyn was happy to make vegetarian for me. Lovely location to wake up to, good fun watching the sheep and cows! Close to shops and restaurants and great value! Thanks Marilyn for a great stay.
Brilliant location right on the seafront and in the middle of the town close to everything via walking.
Loved staying at the historic hotel. So interesting to learn about its history. Has a bar and restaurant that serves beautiful food. Lots of character with function rooms.
The Bluff Apartments are well named because they are literally at the foot of the Bluff, Victor Harbor.
There was plentiful parking, a heated pool and the apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Overall, great value for money and would recommend.
Hotel was in an excellent location with beautiful views. We appreciated the voucher for a complimentary drink during our stay as well as a discount on food at the restaurant. Bed was comfortable and the room was a good size.
Lovely room. Spacious enough. Mostly clean. Beautiful quality Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash. Comfortable bed. Best pillows in all the places I've stayed. Clean crisp sheets. 🥰👍🏾
Location was quiet and very convenient. The room was clean and included necessary assets - iron, fridge, lounge, table and chairs, hairdryer, shampoo, hairconditioner, etc.
The room was in a quiet location. It was exceptionally clean and tidy. Fresh, crisp linen and plenty of wardrobe space. The shared bathroom was clean and worked very well.
