WOW! What an amazing location! We traveled with a family to Italy and needed a place to stay over a night in Austria. We found Zistelberghof and it was the best choice possible! Wonderful hotel in wonderful location with stunning views of the mountains. There was a restaurant where we got a dinner and breakfast (they had also chairs for children). We asked in advance for some gluten-free option for breakfast and got gluten free musli and bread-roll. The staff was very welcoming and smiley and we felt like at home. Short walk to a farm with cows - daughter liked it. Room was comfy, very nice bathroom. If we travel like that again, we will stay again. Thank you :)

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We arrived very late after the staff had gone home, but they ensured we could get into our room just fine. They wished us luck on our adventures paragliding, and when we had a bike tire blowout, they helped us find the nearest bike shop and how to get around while waiting for the repair. Large room, comfortable bed, great shower pressure, clean in a quiet location. It was nice to have a balcony (some building work opposite - wasn't active, but boarding was up), and the breakfast was really good.
There is a bar and restaurant on site, but unfortunately, I had already eaten and arrived later than expected.
Ample parking. The hotel is directly opposite a cable car, a small bar and there is also a children's playground next door.
The owners were very nice. This was a great value for money stay.

Pleasant place in the centre of Bischofshofen close to walking tracks or to the shopping area in necessary. Considering the location surprisingly quiet. Just be careful - the food smells and tastes more than good :)

Werfen is a city where you can relax but, at the same time, it is a starting point for many activities / destinations
From the accommodation at Werfener Hof (here we also ate good traditional food) we visited the Hohenwerfen castle, the Bischschofen waterfall, the 7 mills in Pfarrwerfen. We spent a day in Salzburg (60 km) and in the Celtic village of Hallein (the cetic museum and the salt mine) (6 km from Salzburg). Another day we went on the Grossglokner alpine road (101 km to the glacier), which is worth seeing at least once in your life.

Incredible catle right in front of Bergclick hotel with hawks and eagles demonstrartions at 11 and 15 o'clock and Wisriesenwelt, an enormous cave with ice all around inside that makes you feel like walking innanother world during a guided tour.

This town is a must visit for someone who is looking for...
This town is a must visit for someone who is looking for something different. Eisriesenwelt is largest Ice Cave in the world and it is totally worth it, nice little adventure. There is also Hohenwerfen fortress next to the town, it was interesting to me as it was filming location of Where Eagles Dare, a great WWII themed film with Burton and Eastwood. But sadly it was not emphasised enough in castle itself. In any case great place to visit. I bet it is beautiful in winter too for the guys who like snow and skiing.
Lovely typical Austrian style building and accommodation. Host and staff very friendly and approachable. Great service in the evening and at breakfast. Beautiful dining area connected to the garden. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on.
Liked everything about it. The host is welcoming (has no English, but we managed). The farmhouse is old and characterful. The location has magnificent views and walks from the door. Werfen is a short stroll away (admittedly uphill on the way back).
