Very nice family-owned hotel in Wals on the outskirts of Salzburg. Quiet neighbourhood. Hotel itself was very traditional, staff helpful and friendly and spoke English. The room was spacious on the 3. floor, but no aircon. Beds were very good and bathroom nice and modern. Breakfast was fantastic with everything - even an omelet station with a chef cooking your omelet to order with your selection of toppings. Evening meal in the restaurant was also lovely and well priced, with local ingredients. All in all a very nice 3-day stay.

It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there.
We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking.
Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

the staff is amazing
the staff is amazing
To things are subjects for improvement
First
1.enrich the breakfast
2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests

Nice suburb of Salzburg, at the river Saalach (with bike/walk way along) with a few clean lakes, several restaurants, playgrounds...
Close to Salzburg city center, a few minutes to Salzburg outlet / shopping malls and airoport. Commuting distance to Alps, lakes, Salzburg castles.....
A lovely small hotel in a beautiful location, by a small river. Modern, nicely styled, functional rooms. Excellent wellness center, including a well-equipped fitness room. Amazingly-rich breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff, including the owners, Melanie and Andreas, and the receptionist, Eva, and in fact, everyone. Easy access to the main roads to Austria and Germany and 10 minutes drive to the airport, all without traffic jams.
Everything! We traveled all around Austria and this was our favorite B&B. Breakfast was fabulous. The mother and daughter hosts are incredible. So kind and helpful. We stayed our first night and knew we wanted to return the following weekend. All rooms were booked, but they told me to email for a cancelation, and sure enough, a room became available and we spent our final 3 nights in Austria here.
The room is perfectly designed. I travel a lot for work and stay in many hotels. This Hotel was the most welcoming one. The room tempreature was adjusted to the cold winter weather outside and it was warm and welcoming.
The hotel'facilities like Indoor pool, spa, etc were excellent to get relaxed and gain energy for the next day. The Breakfast was by far the best one I had in Austria.
I rented 3 rooms for myself and family. This is an excellent hotel! The rooms we clean and spacious and the hotel facilities and grounds were modern and clean. The reception and restaurant staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for regular meal service, but the free breakfast was very good. I would definitely stay here again.
When you think about a hotel directly on the highway, you don't expect much but my stay was very pleasant. Quiet room, friendly staff and a stunning roof terrace! The terrace had a beautiful view on the sorrounding mountains and even an opened whirlpool with sauna next to it. One stop on my business trip turned into a small holiday :)
Cosy hotel, a bit hidden, but not so far from the highway. My room had everything I needed. It was clean. Breakfast was good as expected. Friendly and helpfull stuff - I had an issue with my car and was able to arrive the place late at night - via emails we agreed very convenient way of "checking-in" (key was waiting for me).
Beautiful hotel....was clean, spacious, excellent breakfast included in the price of lodging. The spiesegarten served excellent food and beverages at a reasonable price. After sightseeing we came back to the hotel for dinner. We loved the garlic soup with croutons and weinerschnitzel. Highly recommend this place.
A very nice traditional-style hotel about 10-15 minutes from the airport. Quiet and very friendly. A welcome one-night stop after a long day travelling. We regretted not going back when we returned to Salzburg a few days later but had booked a more central city hotel which was nothing like as nice.
Can’t complain about nothing from my first step in till last out. From the reception team, bar/Restaurant team, SPA and everyone else connected to this beautiful Hotel it was an unbelievable experience should be a 7 star Hotel
Grünauerhof is our favourite place to stay&relax for years. Its just perfect, kids love the place too. You can feel this is run-by-family hotel, they really care and it is great to see familiar faces each time.
Very stylish interior and friendly helpfull staff. Breakfast was great and mostly dinner as well, even though the quality of the cooking varied. Great with healthy alternatives.
Excellent breakfast - great range and quality.
Very good dinner menu.
Location close to bus to Salzburg and to A1 road for access to lakes etc.
Very good room.
