My wife and I had lived in Vienna for three and half years up until 2013, so we were returning as "tourists" this time and to visit friends. We love Vienna. We only had a few days to enjoy a couple things. An opera, a mass at one of the catholic churches, and dinner at Plachuta.
Our stay was in an area of Vienna that, although there are families living there, is somewhat poorly lit at night, and for anyone unfamiliar, would be somewhat concerning. No need for concern. We'll likely be back when our friend (who just proposed to his long time girlfriend) has their wedding.

Vienna is an amazing city, and I can not wait to return. Navigating the streets on foot or by public transport is very easy. The museums, shops, people, restaurants, and rooftop bars are second to none.
Learning how to dance the Waltz was the cherry on the cake. Love it.

Vienna ist the most wonderful city with tons of things to do. There is an abundance of cultural things (museums, concerts, theatre, etc.) as well as excellent dining options and shopping opportunities. The surroundings are also very attractive with choices for everyone. There are far too many tourists, though, so don't be surprised if some Viennese people seem to be annoyed by the obnoxious and ignorant behaviour of some people.

One of the nicest cities I have ever visited, will probably visit Vienna soon again. No matter the bad weather, I really enjoyed my stay in the city. The art and architecture of this city is stunning and leaves you speechless.
I chose to stay near to the Vienna Train Station (but a little bit far from city centre) so that I could easily catch the train to the Vienna International Airport on the last day. I would say the hotel is considered very near to the train station - only 1 tram station away. You have to walk to the nearest tram stop which is Alfred-Adler-Straße and ride 1 stop to Hauptbahnhof Ost S stop and you could reach the platforms in Vienna Train Station very soon.
The room was very clean and you have everything you need for your short stay in Vienna in a compact space (hair dryer, fridge, kettle, plates, cutleries, small fan etc.)! The Westbahnhof station is in 10min walk, and from there the city centre is just 10min by underground. It's not like a hotel room decorated in a fancy way, but great for the price you pay.
I will definitely be back, this is the second time in five years that I used this hotel and I will come again. Very spacious room and this time t the room led to a terrace. So easy to go around Vienna with tram bus and underground. 3 stops away you will arrive at a shopping Mall and 4 stops you arrive at the city centre. Highly recommended.
This hotel is excellent if you have meetings in the Vienna International Centre (UN) and Austria Centre. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Staff takes care of everything you need. Also city centre is not too far away (15-20 min by metro).
Location was great for anyone arriving in Vienna by train, direct tram connection to city centre.
The hotel felt comfortably modern with lots of nice places to sit, inside and outside.
Staff were very helpful.
