Calm and nice town, where some bigger, smaller, local shops can be found, also several restaurants. The river goes through the town and there is a nice church in the city centre. Ski resorts are about 15-20 minutes by car, you can try smaller and calm Weisssee Gletscherwelt or huge resorts in Kaprun or Kitzbuhel.
We spent 6 nights and there was wonderfull evenings after skiing day time in the ski resorts near Uttendorf. The accommodation is located less than 20 minutes drive by car from ski resorts Kaprun, Zell am Zee. We recomend this Pension for those who like Austrian country style coziness and cute details.
We found a restaurant Breitmoos with a wonderful view of the terrace and tasty strudel with cup of coffee a few minutes driving direction to Mitersill.
Genuine easy communication & friendly staff, compact group, really focused to fulfill customer needs! For no hustle, the Pension offers meal plans.
The location is also good, in case you may want to diversify various Ski resorts in Austria Pinzgau county!
Clean property throughout, friendly host, 20% discount on Weissee Gletscherwelt ski lifts, separate containers for recycling in the room with clear instructions, comfortable beds including sofa bed in the kitchen/living room, hot water all the time.
New personel at the reception, helpful and smiling but did not have a clue about anything in the city or at the hotel. No possibility for upgrading to half board even though it was an opportunity on booking.coms list.
The whole experience was extremely good! It was a lovely hotel with a lovely host who provided lots of information and allocated us a very good room with a marvellous view.
