Hotel Moarhof, hotel in Tristach

Offering panoramic views of the Lienz Dolomites, Hotel Moarhof is surrounded by a large garden and offers a spa area and an a la carte restaurant, the Moarhofstüberl.

The view from the balcony is something that I have never seen before, it did not get boring at all. Included breakfast was also one of the best I’ve had, with so many options. Staff were all friendly. Even though I didn’t use the facilities, they had a wellness centre and pool. Room was good size and well provided for.

Grandhotel Lienz Business-Wellness & Gourmet, hotel in Tristach

This luxury 5-star hotel offers an exclusive ambience in the heart of the picturesque town of Lienz in East Tyrol, surrounded by the scenic mountains of the Lienz Dolomites.

Very pleasant corner suite with balcony and great views. The staff were very attentive and the food was good. The parking garage was well designed and could take sports cars easily down the ramp. Outside parking was also available. The garden area is especially pleasant with a jacuzzi and pool sited discretely in the grounds. A great location to drive out from.

Hotel Tschitscher, hotel in Tristach

Surrounded by green pastures, Hotel Tschitscher is a 10-minute drive form the city of Lienz. You can find a library and a games room with more than 250 board and card games on site.

We are a couple from the UK on a motorcycle trip to Croatia and back. We have stayed in some super places during our four week trip so far but the Hotel Tschitscher is simply the best. We were greeted by the host Deter and straight away it became apparent that nothing was too much trouble. There was a garage for our motorbike (which is always a bonus!) and our room was spot on. Deter explained the history of the house to us (there’s lots of it!) and he was then happy to give us his time to chat about a whole host of things we needed information on. Oh, and there’s an amazing selection of books, games and music available. The place is spotless and the breakfast was extremely healthy and beautifully presented. It was representative of the area and included home made jams and quality products from the area, it was definitely the best we’ve had. There is an honesty bar and a wonderful garden. As this was a booking on the homeward part of our journey it was only for one night but we have already decided to come back to stay here and explore the area further in the future. Just before we were leaving we were fortunate enough to meet Deter’s wife who turned out to be equally as charming as Deter. She spent time showing us around her wonderful garden and we were able to swop interesting bits of information on various garden plants. You will not be surprised to hear that we recommend the place highly!

We only stayed one day but it seemed a very busy town.

We only stayed one day but it seemed a very busy town. Roads had traffic and there were road works going on that day. Nothing very interesting to visit around this place except for those who enjoy walks in the forest.
