Excellent , a walk by the lake and a splendid dinner at Carl-Zone can really make your day. You can enhance your trip by hopping on to any of the boats and visit near by places be it St Gilgen etc , There is boat running between Strobl , St Gilgen and other small villages located by the lake (Wolfgansee) , hope to get the name right

Strobl is perfect, everything you need is there -- shops, restaurants, bakery, tobacco shop, post, banks, gas station,... Very good starting point, we went both sides of the lake by bikes, used the ferry, as well as the beach there.

Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but...
Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but offers good spots for swimming, including beaches. Also nice, but rather short promenade along the shore. Do not expect many live pubs or bars, but the number of restaurants is sufficient. Other towns (St. Wolfgang etc.) are easily accesible by public trasnsport.

The lake is wonderful.
The lake is wonderful. One can stroll or take a boat trip or just enjoy a cup of coffee and a apple cake in one of the many coffee shops on the lake shore . You can visit the villages along the lake or take bike trips.

Could only get 3 days at another hotel not as well situated for the beginning of my trip. Moved to Brandauer the last day of my trip. So glad I did as it was really nice, especially the beach/spa areas. And breakfast on terrace. Will definitely use it my next trip. And the reception staff were really nice and accommodating of my requests.

The Gasthof is a great choice if you would like to visit region of Wolfgangsee. Breakfast was great, the personell and especially the landlady was very helpful. We got multiple suggestions where to go and also a voucher card, so we got some discounst (~10%) from ticket prices. The room was big and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant with great dishes on an affordable price.
Hotel is ideal for families and kids. Also very suitable for dogs. Very clean, nice, with lot of grass and possibilities for playing. The main bonus are the horses - you can visit nearby stables or even try riding them. Owner is exceptionally friendly and take care of the guests all the time. Not really suitable for "parties" as the hotel is quite calm and easygoing.
Our room had a very comfortable bed, a mosquito net in the door to the balcony and was cleaned every day! There is an on-site parking space included in the price, as well as a very good breakfast. It is located in a very quiet location near Lake Wolfgangsee. The location is good for getting around with car.
This is a fully equipped studio apartment with a kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine. The balcony offers a beautiful view, allowing us to see Wolfgangsee. The apartment conveniently has a direct walking path to Wolfgangsee, making it ideal for those who enjoy leisurely strolls.
Our week-long stay at this apartment was extremely pleasant. The check-in process was seamless. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The view from the apartment was gorgeous. The location is excellent, being near Wolfgangsee and St. Gilgen.
Thé apartment is so clean and big - it was perfect for our stay. Also the big bed was great ! The owner was so nice - we recommend this place ++++
And Strobl was great especially at this time of year because there were festivals!
The haus is surrounded by greenery, situated on the quiet edge of Strobl, but a short distance from the city center and the lake. The apartment, which we stayed, is large, well equipped and comfy. Very kind and friendly owners.
The location is good, with easy access to key areas within minutes. While the room was exceptional, it is a part of an older hotel building. Not a big issue but worth noting. The views from the balcony are amazing.
a nice bonus is a sunroom attached to the bedroom! in addition, the sauna and relaxation facilities overlooking the lake is quite unique. nice clean resort in the middle of a charming Austrian village.
Large room, little bit dark, but with private balcony, Spar (shop) nearby, awesome nature, you are surrounded by the mountins, 1,5km to Wolfgangsee, good restaurant just next to the appartment house.
convenient 15min walk from Strobl bud station and a bud stop at the bottom of the road was 5 minutes walk. Amazing view from balcony. Good size bathroom and apartment.
