The room is very nice and tidy with good facilities and a very nice view. The little garden available at the room was also very pretty and provided space to enjoy the beautiful view. The location is very close to the lake and also to the local bakery.

You can enhance your trip by hopping on to any of the boats and visit near by places be it St Gilgen etc , There is boat running between Strobl , St Gilgen and other small villages located by the lake (Wolfgansee) , hope to get the name right

Strobl is perfect, everything you need is there -- shops, restaurants, bakery, tobacco shop, post, banks, gas station,... Very good starting point, we went both sides of the lake by bikes, used the ferry, as well as the beach there.

Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but...
Not as crowded as other cities around Wolfgangsee, but offers good spots for swimming, including beaches. Also nice, but rather short promenade along the shore. Do not expect many live pubs or bars, but the number of restaurants is sufficient. Other towns (St. Wolfgang etc.) are easily accesible by public trasnsport.

The lake is wonderful.
The lake is wonderful. One can stroll or take a boat trip or just enjoy a cup of coffee and a apple cake in one of the many coffee shops on the lake shore . You can visit the villages along the lake or take bike trips.

Could only get 3 days at another hotel not as well situated for the beginning of my trip. Moved to Brandauer the last day of my trip. So glad I did as it was really nice, especially the beach/spa areas. And breakfast on terrace. Will definitely use it my next trip. And the reception staff were really nice and accommodating of my requests.
Wonderful view from balcony in room with mountain view. Delicious kitchen for quiet evenings, from Wienerschnitzel to Kaiserschmarren. And each morning, a hearty breakfast in dining room with rustic setting views of the surrounding mountains. Nice warm sauna in basement level to warm up after walks in the cool autumn air. Food store in town just 7 minutes down the hill. Super access to the surrounding region: Wolfgangsee, Mondsee, Traunsee, Hallstatt, -- short drives away.
We very much like the location, Strobl in general, as well as the place of the apartment. It was a very short distance everywhere, just 5 minutes to the lake, one shop something like 3 minutes, same with bakery etc. We much appreciated the elevator in the apartment (we have 3 kids, one is baby). Garden perfect, rabbits, table tenis, trampoline etc. Host was nice, we arrived, called and in minute she was there, introduce the place to us etc., fluent English.

The Gasthof is a great choice if you would like to visit region of Wolfgangsee. Breakfast was great, the personell and especially the landlady was very helpful. We got multiple suggestions where to go and also a voucher card, so we got some discounst (~10%) from ticket prices. The room was big and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant with great dishes on an affordable price.
Our room had a very comfortable bed, a mosquito net in the door to the balcony and was cleaned every day! There is an on-site parking space included in the price, as well as a very good breakfast. It is located in a very quiet location near Lake Wolfgangsee. The location is good for getting around with car.
We felt right at home as we came in, the host was extremely welcoming and very accommodating. A small issue arose and she was there right away to help and fix the issue. would highly recommend this as a place to stay to anyone looking to explore Wolfgangsee! Great price, beautiful home and perfect location
The landlady and her husband were very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at their warm and cozy house which has a view on the lake. We had the experience to test the fresh cow milk given by them from their farm. If I visit the Wolfgangsee definitely will repeat the experience again.

The hotel is real value for money, room is comfortable, st. WOLFGANGSEE is just across the road and restaurant has tasty food. Private parking is included. Staff is very friendly. You can buy tickets to the ship on WOLFGANGSEE. We had room with Lakeview.
We went on motobike trip around. It is good place and lot of nice places to ride are in touch. Hotel is nice, breakfast was excellent. Also restaurant offer was good. At all not definitely place to return every year but it served the purpose.

The location is good, with easy access to key areas within minutes. While the room was exceptional, it is a part of an older hotel building. Not a big issue but worth noting. The views from the balcony are amazing.
a nice bonus is a sunroom attached to the bedroom! in addition, the sauna and relaxation facilities overlooking the lake is quite unique. nice clean resort in the middle of a charming Austrian village.
The whole area is just amazing, so where you stay is secondary as long as its at least okeyish. Here it was very good and on par with other hotels/guesthouses i used in the area in the past.
