The location of the hotel is excellent.
Beautiful green yard, children can play outside too. We enjoyed the good atmosphere in the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and had a large variety of food. However, the soft drinks were not delicious.
Just 1 km from the Speiereck Ski Area, Landgasthof Hubertusstubn is 2 km from St. Michael. It offers a sauna and a restaurant serving Lungau specialities. The ski bus stop is 50 metres away.

I have no Idea, i was skiing all day, in the evening in restaurants outside Sankt Micheal, but I was only there 4 days, and had arrangements for apre-ski and restaurant visit with a group of 22 people arranged inside Katsberg-hohe,
I left Sankt Micheal, in the morning at 8:00 and returned in the evening after 20:00 to 21:00. Saw nothing of Sankt Micheal. But I am sure it is all there. It was my choice to stay there; and knew i was commuting up and down to "Katsberg-hohe" which is perfectly do-able, with the right car and no extreme weather. If the weather would not allow the 11 minute trip, you can always start skiing from St. Margareta, which is probably only needed on a hand-full of days per ski-season. and on top of katsberg-hohe, you can easily ski in surrounding ski-areas (Katsberg-hohe), Mautendorf, Gross-eck-Speier-Eck, or Aineck or "Obertauren". And "Obertauren" is only a 20 -to-25 minutes drive (if your willing to get into you're car) but hey it is was only (3) EUR on top the price of the local skipass to include "Obertauren": good value for money, close by, and it is "pretty snow sin the top (3) ski areas of Austria. Ad you are in a very tourist friendly pension for half the price as staying "Obertauren".

Very good location.
Very good location. We go skiing in the Lungau region every year. Grosseck-Speireck, Aineck-Katschberg, Fanningberg and Obertauern are the quintessence of skiing on one ski pass, everyone will find something for themselves, from family descents with children, through moderately difficult scenic routes, to demanding routes for "knowledgeable" skiers. You can easily recommend this place for a ski trip.

Nice little village, a good starting point for nearest ski resorts (Großeck Speireck, Katschberg-Aineck, Obertauern and Flachau); each from 5 to 40 minutes from the place. For those who do not ski, there are wonderful hiking trails with beautiful views.

Nice town which is very close to 2 smaller ski slopes, but 5 minutes away from main ski area Aineck.
St. Michael has everything you need- super markets, drogeries, restaurants, caffe bars, shop with sport equipment, bank, I have even saw the gym.

The owners are really great, helpful and friendly.
The owners are really great, helpful and friendly. Despite having an apartment the room was always prepared with fresh towels and the trash was cleaned. The breakfast was perfect, a little too much to finish for us though. The food in the restaurant was superb. The location was perfect for hiking, trail running, and biking.

Accommodation and surroundings and services were great.
Accommodation and surroundings and services were great. Damage that we could not stay longer. I recommend that you get a "Lungau card" at the reception, which will provide you with full discounts on attractions in the area (cable cars, trains, museums, castles,...).

Just outstanding! I like a lot the location, the building, the pool area, and of course the room. There are many small details surrounding you in the hotel, that create this special vibe.
Our room was the standard one, but it was very spacious with a nice hillside view, comfortable beds, and some minimal equipment to arrange the light breakfast.
Note that the pool and sauna are closed on Fridays (at least during the summer).
It is a Superior stay in a beautiful new apartment near the local Sky Slope. But as we came for some summer hikes, we got a great opportunity to go for different beautiful locations. And more than that, the owner Stefan helped us with "hidden gems" and even went with us, his partner Karin and best buddy Campino (a labrador, not the singer) for a stunning mountain-lakes hike. There is not much more you can ask for!
Everything. Frome Heidi at reception, to the spa, skiing, food at the connected hotel - it was a great trip. The cottage was bigger than it appeared prior, easily accomodating six of us. So quaint and unique.
Great views across the mountains from the living room and balcony. Lovely hosts who live on site so are there if there are any issues, but are completely unobtrusive otherwise. spotlessly clean.
