Absolutely the best owners/family we’ve ever met!! So incredibly sweet and kind. They welcomed us and stood there waiting for us to arrive. They gave us tips for a day out, but we also had some really great chats and we shared a good laugh. Their children played with ours in a very great way. Two of them actually had the same name as our own children. We spoke German and English, and we understood eachother….they gave us some fruit and vegetables from their own garden, so sweet!
The appartment itself was great. Very, very clean and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. We sat there a lot, even when it was raining.
The kitchen had everything you need, including a microwave. The matrasses in the bedroom are, of course, very personal. We stayed for two weeks and got enough handtowels. After a week, we got new ones and they took the used ones immediately to wash.
Ost-Tirol is very beautiful. Summer in Sankt Jakob does not mean: every day it’s 30 degrees….most of the time it was about 22 degrees. Perfect for a hard walk in the mountains….yes, we had some rain and thunder, but most of the time the weather was perfect. At least for us it was! Lots of things to do and family Böhm can tell you all about it!
For us, it was our best holiday so far and we will absolutely come back here!

We loved this hotel and will use it again, the setting was beautiful with fir trees both. Sides of the road. All the essentials are there, large spar supermarket, fuel station which was a very reasonable price. 4 restaurants, one we had lunch in, which we could see and a bank. There are regular buses but we did not use them. Daytime was between 28 - 31 degrees, in the valley it was cooler which made it easier to sleep. The rides out on our motorbike were fantastic. It’s a short trip to Italy with some fantastic twisty winding roads with hairpin bends, we did both passes, you are closed to the Grossglockner from the south a fantastic trip. The Kals am Grossglockner, the water fall on the way, the 5euro road (private road) to Schliederlerhof, twisty, winding, hairpin road and a great lunch at the top. There were many people there walking the trails. Our last trip was to Weissensee (white lake) swimming lake, the on up the mountain to kaiser Franz Josef monument, up to the top and down the other side into Weissbriach for a late lunch. We would not avoid anything is was just very beautiful.

Small mountain village for those who are looking for a calm...
Small mountain village for those who are looking for a calm place to breath, walk and enjoy drinking the fresh water. Very good supermarket (Spar) in the centre, good prices, good products. A nice pizzeria but otherwise it is better to head couple km further from the centre in order to find a good restaurant. Lot of paths for walking (yourself and your dog), biking and just relax.
10 min drive towards a lovely lake of Obersee and about 40 min drive to lively city of Lienz. Beautiful and clean!!!

The apartment is very spacious and the view is amazing. It’s located in a very beautiful and peaceful place just in the mountains and next to the lakes on Austrian & Italian border. Though we stayed in the beginning of October the heating was on so it was very warm inside. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything that needed. The host is very nice and flexible. We came very late to the place but we were warmly treated.
Herr Burger went to a lot of trouble to make sure all was well with his guests. He is a hard worker and tends to the hotel and the grounds. It is beautifully kept and a pleasant place. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Had a nice patio area with a lot of plants and things of interest. I also liked my balcony. Herr Burger gave up his garage to give me a parking place for my motorcycle which says a lot for him.

The room was very good as shown at the photos. Bathroom very small and a bit spartan but adequate. For us, it is suitable for an overnight stay on the way, peace, quiet atmosphere. Nice and efficient welcome to the hotel 100 meters away. It was perfect for people like us: traveling by car (it would be much harder without it). Next time we will check availability.
Really cosy and small family run hotel 'at the end of the world'. Excellent handmade food with a personal touch - especially if you dare to stray away from the usual schnitzel!

The road to the pass that runs by the hotel is small and the pass is only open 15 minutes every hour in each direction, so the location is very quiet.
Nice, clean, and large room with beautiful view of the river. Very friendly stuff and rich breakfast. Good starting point for excursions in the nature -- even for short ones, like the family-friendly, water-teamed one directly leaving from the hotel to a beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately, we didn't stay long enough to try the sauna.
The location is beautiful and well situated for anyone seeking outdoor activities. The look and ambiance of the hotel is wonderful. The rooms, as well as the rest of the hotel, are well decorated nicely and are very clean. The food is expertly prepared and dinner service is perfectly executed. The staff are absolutely amazing.

the location, the owner, the spa, pool… breakfast. everything was perfect for us. the owner also arranged for us lenses liquid that we forgot. really the small hotels focused on the customers make the difference. this is one great example

It is a nice hotel in a wonderful area. I had a very spacious, clean family room. with an extra 9 euros for an adult, the half board becomes all inclusive, which is to be appreciated
Amazing hotel with a lot of attention to their guests. Grill evenings, live music evenings, nice pool - this is a hotel for your vacations, not for 1 night stay.
