Check in was very smooth. The location was great, it has a beautiful view of the lake, right next to the docks. And very close to restaurants within Obertraun. Breakfast had a lot of options, a great coffee machine, and the staff was very kind.

We liked everything! The location was incredibly beautiful. Our apartments (#1 and #2) were comfortable and well appointed. Trevor was so very nice. We talked with some people in town and they were all so warm and pleasant.

We stayed in Obertraun as a base to explore Halstatt but found as our trip got closer that there was a lot more to do in Obertraun and Halstatt than originally thought so our one night stay turned out to not be long enough. If I were booking again I would definitely stay two or three nights so we could explore the salt mines, walks and view points.

We stayed in Obertraum so we could take the ferry to go to Hallstatt by ferry. The ferry ride was amazing, heavenly peace and tranquil. However, we did not know enough about the area. We found out from the ferry driver that there was an ice cave nearby and a skywalk. We could include that in our future trip.

Obertraun is probably the best place for easy access to Hallstatt (besides being in Hallstatt itself). Bike rentals are easy and the bike ride to Hallstatt is also easy with very little elevation change. Lots of biking in the area.

Perfect location, fantastic view to Hallstatt and the mountains. Easy to reach Hallstatt even with bicycle, Dachstein and mountains are also very close. Lot's of things to see - easily can spend 2-3 days in the surroundings. Railway station and bus station is available - well connected.

Small village, quieter than the nearby Hallstatt.
Small village, quieter than the nearby Hallstatt. Can walk around everywhere on foot. Good for few days with public transport, longer than that you may want a car since there is only one restaurant ("Pizzeria") and buses come only once per hour.
We chose Dormio Resort Obertraun for our family holiday - 7 adults and 1 child. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff members were above helpful and friendly. Nothing was a problem. The cottage was lovely - very well equipped, located and big enough to give everyone their own privacy as well as a place to meet. The surrounding area is beautiful, great for walks, hikes, boating and also sightseeing in Hallstatt. Anything you can think of. And the mountains!! Everything about this place was great. So great we should keep it secret. :-)

A bit outside busy area of Hallstatt (only 10-15 mins in bus or boat to go across the lake) but it’s in a quite and heavenly location. Just 7 mins walk from Obertraun station. Resort has a large land and walking tracks which is surrounded by mountains. Lake view along the walking track.
Room: very good size. Has almost every thing you would need. Coffee machine was an advantage.
Bathroom: large size. Had shower and a bath tub. Toiletries included.
Breakfast: excellent
Value for money: very good.
Visit Hallstatt stay in Obertraun! Stay with Mike and Jenny! This is beyond any 5 star accomodation ever! The house is spotless, so pampering and confortable, so much attention to detail that one cannot even imagine. I am so sorry it was only 1 night!
What can I say? spotless clean, confortable, affordable, with such care for detailas and welfare of guests. The home made muffins exquisite. I felt like a VIP.
The room is a suite with a washroom and bathroom. It is large and very clean. The hotel is equipped with various kitchen utensils for cooking. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. It's about a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk from the lake. The scenery along the way is also very beautiful. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Hallstatt by bus, which is very convenient.
My family and I stayed at the Bergmoment Apartments over Christmas 2022. We occupied the 2 bedroom and 1 of the 1 bedroom apartments. The accommodation was absolutely wonderful. Clean, tidy, well equipped and very tasteful decorated. The location was great, very close to both Hallstatt and Obertraun and a short drive to many other picturesque Austrian towns.
The host couple was so nice. They even picked us up from the nearest railway point which was so kind. The owner was really helpful in telling about good spots nearby and arranged a good breakfast. Nice room and the view from the apartment was so beautiful. Nearest station is Obertraun.
The hotel was clean and quiet. The location was fantastic- only 5 kms from Hallstatt but with a better view and no crowds. The view from the room was stunning. It was warm and comfortable. Maryana, the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
The host Michael is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean, cozy, and quiet, which suits me. The location may not be the best, but the atmosphere there is really good. Overall, it is a really nice choice if you want to have a stay around Hallstatt and Obertraun.
Location is beautiful and easy reachable if you come by train. Keep in mind: if you come to Obertraun on friday evening, you should bring food with yourself. The only one grocery store in Obertraun is closed during the weekend.
It's very close to all the local tourist spots. The location is amazing, bus terminal is a couple of metres from the hotel or you can take a boat trip to Hallstatt. There's is a big park just a few walks from the hotel.
The hotel is family own and run very friendly staff excellent location across Hallstatt but easy access by ferry.

Obertraun is really beautiful and Hallstatt is also nearby. Easy to find the Appartements. Nice view of the mountains. spacious room and nice bathroom at least for one the rooms.
