We had to turn back from our drive over the pass due to snow and found this hotel nearby. It felt like we had walked into a fairy tale. The host Lyn and Alan were so nice and welcoming and turned this terrible situation into a very nice experience. We cannot thank them enough for making us feel so welcome. We had dinner there and again could have not wished for a better place to stay.
We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 12). This was our first time and we will make some adjustments (for our families' needs) but Oberndorf was a great start and we would recommend.
Great central location. It is located in the valley so you have to go 'up' to many sights but many are available starting from the valley.
The Greisbuchklamm walk was great. The dinasour park was great and the hike to the hilltop view was exceptional. Kaiserwelt was a little underwhelming but still kept everyone busy for most of the day. Schnekler (sp?) hike started a bit slow but got really nice at the end.
You can stay higher on the mountain and you will pay for it. But for a family, we were satisfied not having to search for (or drive a long way to) grocery stores and bakeries.

Everything was great. The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The rooms are well furbished and clean. There is a self service bar available at the property that would be great for a large group of friends. There is a warm ski storage available. The parking is right in front of the hotel. The ski solpes are at a 10 minutes car ride and there are enough free park spaces in the area. We are eager to return for our next ski trip.
Very friendly staff, great location with a stunning view on the Wilder Kaiser, amazing wellness center at the hotel. The appartment was confortable and well equiped. Easy parking. Although there was no snow anymore in the valley and the lifts nearby the hotel were already closed, we were able to go to Kitzbühel by train from the appartment, which was quick, confortable and free of charge with the Mobile pass!
A truly wonderful hotel. Beautiful and quiet location. Nice views. Ideal location in Tyrol. Great garden and fine swimming pool with sufficient sun loungers and parasols. Extensive breakfast. Enjoyable both inside and outside. Warm welcome. Nice staff. Here the guest is taken care of. The rooms are spacious, equipped with balconies and up to date. Good beds too. Highly recommended.
Great hotel, fantastic staff, easy access to ski slopes, and great spa facilities for some relaxation. The food is amazing too, and the staff were kind enough to take our dietary requirements into account. Highly recommended.
