Very cute place to stay, clean with pleasant staff. Nice that there is a restaurant as well, which is convenient. We were given a lock up garage for our motorbike which my husband was really happy about. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Christian was so helpful and he helped us move our very heavy suitcases to a suitable room.. and took us to the train station.... very helpful!!
I can find nothing negative to say about Melk. We totally enjoyed our stay and all of the attractions that were easily accessible. We eat at local restaurants and the food was excellent. The train station was within walking distance. The river cruise to Krems was amazing. I would do it all again.

The Abbey is extraordinary and the surroundings are wonderful. The city is a whole story, full of a preserved history with great attention to detail. Very professional.
Was easy to get around, no problems. We think to plan another trip to Melk in the near future.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. We were there during the Christmas holiday break so some stores and restaurants were closed but that did no deter us. Would like to visit in the spring and summer.

We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived (although pretty late), we got out to take a walk. We were impressed by the tranquility of the old town's city center and had a very nice dinner at Venezzia Restaurant (if you don't have to, don't go to the bathroom there :)). We'll be back to visit the Abbey!

Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see.
Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see. The town is very pretty and a great place to wander around for an hour or two. There were some nice restaurants and bars, but many places were closed for the season (January). You can see the abbey and town in an afternoon, but there are other places in the surrounding countryside if you stay longer.
If you are in Wachau, you must stay here!!! It is so charming and peaceful and the host is so wonderful. Her warm hospitality was so welcome after a long day of travel and the breakfast was so yummy! You can’t beat the value either. My room was perfect and clean and comfortable and I loved my stay here so much. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler and I also appreciated the easy parking on property. I can’t wait to return here again one day!!!
lovely room #2; great location (Main Street, 10 minute walk to the Abbey ( up stairs), 15 walk to the boat on the Danube, 7 minutes or so to the train station); decent breakfast choices; amazing restaurant (this restaurant is easily the most popular in town so reserve ahead. We had the stuffed chicken ( incredible) the goulash and the schnitzel); friendly, efficient staff.
Everything. The beds were comfy. It was easy to find and the location is just great. The view is spectacular- it’s underneath the Abby. It is in the middle of the town “Melk” which is a calm and quiet aesthetic place. The hotel was clean and historical. We would have loved to stay even longer! Ps: the warm shower and new facilities were huge impacts on the stay.
Fantastic localization - 5 minutes walk to the Melk Stift. The center of Melk's Old Town. Excellent breakfast. Very good vines from own shop. The house ca. 400-500 years old. On some maps from ca. 1700 being exposed in the Melk Stift, the house is visible looking as it is now. Melk is a very good starting point for the whole Wachau district (bicycle, car, ship).
The location was fantastic, only a short stroll to the Altstadt and Melk Abbey
Really nice coffee for breakfast. Good selection of rolls, ham, cheese etc.
The room was small but functional and we enjoyed having a little table and chairs as well.
Definitely good value for what we paid. Would stay again....
Beautiful house in a lovely village in Austrian countryside, clean rooms, superb local breakfast, amazingly friendly staff. If you are the sort of person that likes calm, quiet, relaxing place to stay, I don’t think you will find better in the area. Great value for money. I will definitely visit again.
Lovely staff, excellent food, comfy room: this is an excellently run hotel in the heart of Melk. We were warmly welcomed at Reception and given a lovely room. The dinner was gorgeous with plenty of local produce and dishes to choose from. Breakfast was also beautifully varied. Very highly recommended.
The room was nice with lots of spaces to store items. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the corner room windows, so that there was a cross breeze in the evening. There was free parking outside the pension. The city center, restaurants, and abbey were within ten minutes walking distance.
Nice little hotel well located (on the main street, next to all the restaurants, less than 10 min walk from the train station and the abbey). My room was clean and I enjoyed the breakfast. Possibility to rent a bike (18€ for a day). The owners give good advice to visit the Wachau Valley.
Lovely place a little further from Melk, so do not expect a restaurant nearby, you will have to get in the car for that. The rooms were great, and the garden beautiful, and I had the best apricot and strawberry jams in my life.
Good value.
The hotel price was low and we did not expect too much.
Yet the reception was friendly, the room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was very good and nice served.
We received a personal serviceI
Excellent location. 10-15 minutes walk to city main train station. Abby is on the top of the hill from the hotel. Only 20 minutes walk uphill to the Abby. Very reasonable price.
Excellent and pleasent apartments, clean and very close to the old town and Stift Melk.
Whenever we will return to Melk, thiscwill be the first choice.
