Location is exceptional, both Erlaufsee and Mariazell is a walk away (<2km), breakfast and dinner buffet are versatile, fresh, well rounded and fairly priced. All but one employee were exceptionallly kind, helpfull, invested in the client.
Interior rooms were great, as well as exterior. Gym has modern and well rounded machines offer.
Not cheapest hotel, but not overpriced for the above mentioned.
Will come back again. Especially if any aktions appear :-)

Great place to stay in the center of Mariazell, close to the Basilica. Very friendly staff, great food at the restaurant - and, most important for me as a cyclist, there is a room to safely store your bicycle overnight 🙂

Great place for sightseeing, hiking all year round and skiing in the winter. We had food at the Ochsenwirt which was really nice. Some places can be a bit pricy but there is lots to choose from.
A visit to the Basilica is a must.

Very nice town, with great charm, energy and genius loci. A bad surprised - despite the town is self-promoted as the place for skiers, it was difficult to find a restaurant for dinner - many of them were closed (in mid February).

It's very quiet place in winter except during the catholic holidays as we heard in the hotel.
One ski-lift starts from the city center which would be nice but the tracks are not well maintained. Most of them was closed, although the weather would have been suitable to create more snow.
Maybe those are the reasons, that most of the shops were closed.
Nice room with a small, but functional kitchen stocked with dishes, kitchen utensils, and salt and pepper. Wonderful location within walking distance of the center of Mariazell and beautiful views from the Archduke Johann monument just across the street. Our host was very friendly and welcoming; although, communication on site was a bit challenging with our limited knowledge of German. It was good practice for us! :)
Extremely kind and supportive staff (actually Owners), did everything for our comfort and remarkable stay! The room looked far better than in the pictures! I booked a room with a city view, right behind the Basilic and it was worth the price! :) We were in Mariazell center, walking distance from everything: shops, restaurants, bus station, cable car etc.!
The location is very good. The hotel is quite old and a little rocked down, but clean. It is apparently for sale and we had the feeling that since it is for sale no big effort is being put in making this an attractive choice. The breakfast was below standard, the good reviews must date from a time before the property started to be for sale.
The hotel is placed in the woods and, for this fact, is quiet enough. Usually, you have lots of facilities (breakfast, dinner, game rooms, spa), but not all the time.
The receptionists gave us all the information needed and were very nice.

There is space for ski equipment. Lift to the mountain is within 200 metres.
Car parking is also available within 200 meters (you can stop in front if the hotel for check in and check out).
We loved the beautiful well equipped kitchen, the sunny terrace and the huge living room and bathroom. The apartment is very spacious and suited perfectly our family of 4 adults and two small kids. The host was very helpful when we contacted her on the phone.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the view from our room was awesome. I really enjoyed the people at this hotel. They even let us park in their lot after we checked out so we could go for a long walk and see the town. 😉
The villa has an amazing location. you can enjoy the view on Mariazell and mountains from both the terrace and the apartment. Garden of the villa beautiful and the hosts are very nice people. You get everything there you need for a relaxing stay.
Nice and clean room, probably renovated lately. Hotel is located in the center of the city just above the church.
Host is very helpful and offered a garage for bikes (for a 10 EUR fee). Dinner in the hotel restaurant was a decent one.
Unfortunately during our stay there was a heat problem, which affected our good mood. Overall the hotel is ok for a mountain getaway. You can benefit from the pool, beautiful trails in the area.
The receptionist was the most helpfull and nicest person ever welcoming us to the hotel and certainly made our quick stay in Mariazell very memorable. Also, the breakfast was very, very good !
