Flying into Innsbruck Airport, it’s easy to see why the city was so highly regarded. Practically every street ends with a view of the Alps, lush in summer, snowy white in winter. Nestled on a slope is Schloss Ambras, ex-residence of Archduke Ferdinand II, while the surroundings provide summer mountaineering, hiking and golf.
In winter of course it’s all about the fantastic Innsbruck skiing and snowboarding. Ski areas include Nordkette mountain, accessed by cable car and chairlifts near the town’s hotels and B&Bs on Booking.com. Its varied pistes means that several international competitions are held here, as well as the Bergiselschanze ski jump contest. The après-ski is laidback and centred around chalet-style bars and traditional restaurants.
Picturesque town in the mountains. Very cute but stops short of being fake. Ate at some good restaurants. Great funicular / cable-car ride starts near downtown. Spent 2 nights here, but 1 more would have been good. There was quite a bit of construction on the downtown pedestrian streets in May 2024; I hope they finish that soon, as it should be even nicer when they're done.

We stayed at the Boutiquehotel Weisses Rossl , wich is in a great location, walking distance from everything we wanted. The hotel has an amazing breakfast. The restaurant there is very good too.
For us, Innsbruck was a beautiful and lovely surprise.

Innsbruck is stunning!
Innsbruck is stunning! It's much smaller than Vienna and smaller than Salzburg, but bigger than some of the villages we visited. Even so, it was one of our favorite stops because of the gorgeous historic district, the river, the history, the people, and the beautiful mountain surroundings. If you've never been, you need to go!
This hotel has the best view on Innsbruck. We really liked that the staff let us choose which view we wanted 1 - The city center and Nordekette (Seegrube, Hungerburg and Hafelekar) or 2. Patscherkofel Mountain, Train Station and the other side of the city. We choose the option 1, the hotel let us do an early Check-in and it was perfect to wake and fall asleep with this view. The best was very confortable, the bar (breakfast Room) on the 13th floor was an amazing 360 view. The breakfast was good, but not the best we ever had.
This property is in the perfect location for the old town and is an absolutely beautiful building! Only a 15 minute easy walk from the train station. Our room overlooked the old town street and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! It would be hard to find a better place to stay in old town Innsbruck! Very nice hotel located a 3 minute walk from the Innsbruck old town. And about 10 minutes from the train station. Friendly and helpful staff, big rooms - I recommend the “apartment” style, with a living area, huge size, for the price of a small room in many other Innsbruck hotels. Also very tasty breakfast with a full choice available even if you arrive late. The hotel might look old from the outside, but rooms are modern.
Excellent location in the old town. Room is spacious. This hotel provides facial tissue paper!! Breakfast is more than adequate, mainly cold dishes like other hotels we stayed in Austria. The only hot dish is egg. Staffs are friendly and efficient. Thai and Korean restaurants just round the corner. A number of Chinese restaurants within walking distance. Public car park with subsidised rate is just 170 metres away.

The best was the breakfast. Every wish fulfilled. A big consciousness for fresh, regional, sustainable products - lots of small little extras on top like smoked trout from a brook nearby, and refreshing smoothy. If you are coming to Innsbruck for its great nature and the best ski resorts of Europe, you can choose Hotel Kapeller as a comfy resting zone for your holiday. Tram was just a couple of minutes walking away, and the view of the room was amazing. You can see the beautiful Alps as the first thing in the morning when you get up. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it.
The location of the hotel was excellent ! Right downtown in the heart of the shopping and old town section of the city. Also, the breakfast buffet was terrific ! They actually had scrambled eggs that tasted great ! The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs and bent-over backwards to help in any way. I would certainly stay here again if I came back for a visit.

The hotel is in the middle of the old town, very close to the Dachl and a lot of food options in the area. The reception was nice, we were offered a drink in the rooftop bar upon arrival. The facilities in the room are all to a good standard.

Location is excellent, close to the Old Town area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of choice. The hotel bar "Innside Pub" is nice, worth a visit. I would definitely stay here again.
