Quirky old Schloss in the heart of Drosendorf. Big room on the cool side of the building which we really appreciated given the current high temps. Bathroom nothing flash but as good we expected. Comfy bed. Nice girl let us in to our room but she seemed to be a temporary fill in and no other staff around until breakfast. Interesting rooms and garden to explore however.

The town is really small and doesn't offer much beside hiking (within the Nationalpark Thayatal). There is also a swimming pool but it's quite far from the main attractions (the castle and the Thaya Bridge). There are not many restaurants, only one shop (combined with bakery) and most places only accept cash. Also not very walking friendly for a stroller (lack of pavement)
