Quiet , very clean place, close to Salzburg. View from the window to the mountains was beautiful. Helpful staff. Restaurant food for breakfast and dinner was very good.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, there were mosquito nets on the windows. The staff were polite.

The location is stunning—nestled at the base of the majestic Untersberg mountain, offering breathtaking views and the perfect atmosphere for a peaceful retreat. Whether we were sipping coffee on the terrace or heading out for a day of exploring, the scenic backdrop was unforgettable. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully furnished with a perfect blend of modern amenities and alpine charm. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure comfort and relaxation, which made us feel right at home. The hotel’s restaurant deserves special mention as well. The food was simply outstanding—authentic Austrian cuisine prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Everything

Everything was beyond reproach. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom, sparkling. Breakfast had great variety and was freshly cooked. The room was tidied up quickly and efficiently. The staff smiled and was polite. I wouldn’t mind returning.

It was a proper quaint Austrian hotel at foot of the mountains. The rooms were wonderful nothing was missed. Everything you needed. Breakfast was wonderful transport links to Salzburg were brilliant lots of buses running on time.

I just loved everything in that place! I stayed there for 4 nights and wouldn't have wanted to leave. I slept very well here and it was such a relaxing hotel. The owner family and their staff were marvellous! The breakfast was excellent with a lot of local or home made food. The wellness area was lovely: it was only for adults and very peaceful. The pools were allowed for all ages. There is free tea, bubble water and small snacks. I didn't have a car, but I rented an e-bike for 15 euros and explored Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall with it. There is also a local taxi, who will drive you anywhere you want in Wals' area for 1 euro.
