The rooms are very nicely prepared - we had a two-story room with a spacious bathroom incl whirlpool. Eating at the Roanwirt is also really nice (typical Austrian cuisine). The sauna area is not the biggest, but it was never crowded. The staff are tremendously forthcoming and friendly. In the area, you can hike up to Pogusch and have amazing views of the mountains.

Wonderful place to stay in Styria, lovely hotel - very helpful staff, great service, Nespresso coffee in the room, superb views, everything was absolutely stunning!
It is not such a picturesque town but it has an old castle...
It is not such a picturesque town but it has an old castle on the hill with fine views. The other thing I really appreciated was an outdoor 50 metre public pool with an equally large separate fun pool wih water slide. After a long journey that was perfect!

Why would you stay in a modern hotel when you can stay in a 1400 year old building lovingly restored? Every nook, every charming seating arrangement needed to be photographed. The location could not be better, with the river Mur in front and the town square behind. Add to that a very attentive staff and amazing breakfast.
An interesting old hotel, furnished with strange eclectic charm. We'd been upgraded to 'The Suite' which is a huge room with views south to the river and west.
Excellent location next to the river and the Hauptplatz.
Bike storage. Good breakfast in a small room which offered the rare opportunity to meet other guests.
Large rooms with comfortable beds and when asked I received a softer pillow. Beautiful situated Hotel close to town centre and right next to the river. Great breakfast with all that you could want to breakfast. Nice and spacious breakfast room with the possibility to sit outside if the weather permits.
The staff was very nice,friendly.The room was spacious,the furniture need upgrade,big balcony(unfortunately all rooms had togetger the balcony line no separation,no privacy).Nice view to the Schlossberg,city,river.The breakfast was excellent.Hotel was nice,good location just need a lot of renovations.
We stayed just one night. It is difficult to say more than a hotel near the highway, but in a quiet area, room was a spacious, good breakfast. A very good choice for the overnight rest for travelers.
