We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it: the view, the surrounding forest and plains with tracks and bike lanes, excellent breakfast with lots of options, the service, the staff, not too pushy, but there if you needed anything, the quiet nights, the fact that there is no music at the restaurant and you can actually hear and feel the nature around you. The rooms are spotless, spacious, with everything you need, same in the bathroom.
In a scenic countryside location, this family-run hotel is 2 km from Bergheim and 5 km from Salzburg. It features 2 terraces and Free Wi-Fi in the public areas.

Breakfast spread was extensive and included plenty of gluten free and lactose free options. You can easily request GF rolls from the server staff. The hotel is also easy walking distance to a main shopping area.

Very close to the train station which was perfect for us because we used the train.
The modern Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg Messe is conveniently situated, close to the A1 motorway, about a 15-minute bus ride from the heart of the city.

A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. And the sky at night is spectacular! Want an authentic taste of Austrian Gemütlichkeit? This is your place!
It was a good get-away from crowdy Salzburg. Peaceful, with bus stop right next to hotel. Public transport is not so expensive, always on time and great connection to Salzburg center. Breakfast was delicious, with large selection and very good coffee, pastries, bread and jams and everything you need in the morning. The staff was super friendly! The room was cleaned daily.
There are free parking spots.
The Jagerwirt is in the country with fields all around and a more "country" feel. That was a good change for me since I had been staying in city urban hotels earlier in my trip. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was good with ample quatity and variety. The facilities were fine. I had a nice room with a view over the countryside. I would stay there again.
The hotel is a dream, and the view is stunning! We arrived on "Ruhetag" (staff was off), but the self check-in process was a snap. Great breakfast. Great rainfall shower. Super clean. Wonderful staff. The drive up to the hotel is steep, but there is plenty of parking. Great bus connections to downtown at the "Plainbruecke" Stop at the bottom of the hill.
The host Rene was very nice and helpful . I jad a very pleasant stay. The hotel is just outside the city of Slazburg, and there's a couple of buses outside the hotel that take you to Salzburg, the stops are just outside the hotel. The breakfast is is a very good german Breakfast with eggs to your selection.
The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature with fantastic views of the Alps. The hotel's furnishings are in keeping with the traditional Alpine style and the hotel is clean. Friendly staff. We also loved the sound of the bells in the nearby pilgrimage church every morning.
if you travel by car this is a perfect place! just 10 min to city center, and the hotel is on the top of the hill together with an old church. stunning views, nice area for walks. the building, rooms, service and breakfast - everything was excellent! I would love to come back.
ps dogs friendly
Very nice hotel, lovely location close to Salzburg. 15 min drive by 1 bus. Lovely size of the room and the bathroom. Traditional and lovely family establishment. Enjoyed the back garden especially in the hot weather. Great choice for breakfast, could not fault it.
The hotel was located in a beautiful spot overlooking the city of Salzburg. The hotel has wonderful charm, with updated features. The breakfast and restaurant were very good! The bus is also near by which takes you directly into old town (less than 20 min ride).
The room was more than I expected, lovely view of Salzburg from the hill that Maria Plain sits on. Roomy and well kitted out. Property is well maintained and sufficient parking outside the hotel. Breakfast was adequate and plenty of choices.
Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain has very nice rooms in the suburb north of Salzburg. The room itself was luxurious and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was also very helpful with my late check-in. The view from the property is one-of-a-kind.
The hotel is lovely and the view is outstanding. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good. We liked being out of the tourist area in the city. The grounds are well maintained and it's very peaceful. The photos are from our hotel room.
Very good position both for work in Salzburg and for tourism. Breakfast is very ok and the hotel is very silent. Next time I would like to go in the restaurant. I will definitely return.
