Stayed one night at the Hotel Europa in Salzburg and it was perfect. The hotel is just opposite the train station and the bus stop is also right there. The airport bus also stops outside the hotel. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the barman gave us some nice tips for sightseeing. The Mirabell palace is a leisurely 10 minute walk away, the old town 10 minutes more after that.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a brilliant view out from the 12th floor. Completely quiet even though it's right next to the train station and the climate control aircon kept the room at a perfect temperature. The room has a kettle and fridge and an ipad to control everything. The wardrobe had enough hangars and a safe plus plenty of hooks and spaces to put stuff and enough charging points. Had requested and got a bathroom with a bathtub. It was raining the second day and they lent us an umbrella. Breakfast was optional and we did not try it.
We were allowed an early check in and left our bags in the luggage room after checkout. The lobby had comfortable sofas to rest and wait for our late night train and a bar with pizza and snacks. Will definately stay here again.
The modern Austria Trend Hotel Salzburg Messe is conveniently situated, close to the A1 motorway, about a 15-minute bus ride from the heart of the city.

The location was awesome. You could walk everywhere with ease.
The hotel's history was fascinating. It would have been nice to have the option of a short guided tour of the hotel, I am sure there's more history that we didn't discover.
Breakfast was superb, I'll miss the yummy breakfast.

Location was nice, everything in Salzburg in walking distance. Aircon worked perfect. Breakfast was satisfying. Rooms were as expected (which is suprisingly often not the case with hotels). Relativly cozy hotel.
