I was looking for a place to spend the night on a bike tour along the Danube cycle path. Au an der Donau is not too far from Linz, so it’s pretty well connected. The welcome was warm and I enjoyed my night in a barrel (not metaphorical) - the facilities are good and clean (washroom, showers, toilets), the location is quiet and there were quite a lot of other cyclists and caravaners. The property was locked overnight and you can (in theory) leave your bike etc outside in safety. There are a couple of restaurants nearby.

Very frendly stuff, very nice small restaurant both indoors and outdoors. The deer meat specialities are nice to try. The hotel is very cute and some how quaint. Very large parking area is next to the hotel building. Rooms are cozzy.
