Located right by the autobahn but couldn't hear any noise in the rooms. Beautifully decorated, upscale country, very cosy. Breakfast had variety of breads, jelly, fresh scrambled eggs, cold cuts, soft boiled eggs, juices and coffees. Personnel was very friendly.

What a wonderful hotel. Everything was ideal for our family holiday purposes, including accommodating the needs of an active 3yr old grandson, who thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and the indoor toys and slides. Altenmark is a small willage, but you can find a lots of shops and restaurants there, but we were so busy that we didnt go. We spend most of the time skiing, Flachau is just 15 min drive. Perfect for kids is aqua therme, swimming pool with big waves, hot water, tobogans etc and for others really great spa, with 5-6 different saunas.

Altenmarkt im Pongau is very nice city with a big numer of restaurants, cafe, hotele, boutiques, sport shops. There were also a few supermarkets.
It was also a possibility to rent a ski even in the city, not only next to slopes.
Altenmarkt is situated very close to Flachau or Radstad - Ski Amade Resort (10 minutes by car).
It was also a cross-country skiing way near to the city but unfortunately there were No signs in the city center How to find it.

Small quiet town with beautiful church, lots of restaurants and hotels. We were in the Urbisgut hotel and it was great. Skibus stops on every part of this town, which is very comfortable. It is easy to go to huge ski-resorts Schladming or Flachau but we recommend smaller ones - Zauchensee or A

The hotel owners are very kind and help us everything that we needed!!
Everything in brand new and designed with a lot of thought and effort.
The apartments are beautiful, even more in reality, and very quite.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need.

The location of the hotel is also good, there are few restaurants and supermarket near by.
I visited this hotel with my husband and kids, and it far exceeded our expectations. The room was big and perfect for a couple with kids, the food was delicious, and the activities for the kids were perfect. We had everything we needed. The kids had fun at the Kids Club and the adults were able to enjoy the spa amenities.
Thank you to all the very friendly staff members. We were very impressed.
It was a great relaxing holiday for us and we will definitely visit again.

The location is right in the middle of the town. Also Altenmarkt is located between Flachau and Zauchensee which is perfect for skiing.
There are two large balconies.
The living room is large enough and cozy. The apartment is warm with everything you need.
The lady who owns the place is very kind and welcoming. We arrived late at night and she woke up especially to show us around and answer all of our questions.
She speaks perfect English and the communication with her was great.
This family run hotel is modern, in a quiet location and offering a lovely ambience. Our room was extremely spacious, clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was more than adequate with an excellent choice available, whilst our ‘half board’ package included a wonderful 5 course meal accompanied by outstanding service. All staff were friendly and very customer service focussed. Parking was also available.
The property is really well-appointed and well maintained. We were driving to Italy, and it was SO CONVENIENT-- just off the motorway. However, this is a hotel that I would like to come back to and spend a few days. The hotel is clean and updated. A bar with outside seating and places for children to hang out. There is obviously a lot to do in the area. And a terrific restaurant adjacent.
We really liked how the building is set up. You have free underground parking from where you get into the ski room and further on into the hotel. We also like that although is not a large building, it has an elevator so you don't have to carry your luggage on the stairs.
The Spa/relaxing area is small but nice, and also very clean.

A fantastic typical tyrolean hotel in the Pingua region. Stayed one night passing through but could definitely stay many nights to explore any season. Comfortable rooms with a very nice breakfast on the way out. The owner/host is gracious with his time and information. Loved this place and it's woodwork and history. Will stay here again when exploring the area next year.

Everything was excellent - the whole hotel, the room we stayed in, the relax and sauna spot. The interior design is wow. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes from ski resort Flachau. Also the breakfast was very good, but the dinner in their restaurant was exceptional! I really recommed this stay!
We just stayed for one night as a stopover to our final destination (further south). For that purpose the Hotel was good. I personally would not consider the hotel for a family holiday.

The entire staff was wonderful, especially the ladies in the dining room who went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. I found the alpine decor of the hotel charming. The room was very comfortable.
