We had a great stay - very comfortable accommodation, lovely views and a great host who went out of her way to help us and put on a lovely breakfast each morning. Alpbach is such a charming village with some great spots to eat and there was a bus to the ski lift from just outside the property which made everything very easy. Would highly recommend!

Beutiful views and a few skiing/ hiking possibilities around. There is only one slope for kids/begginers in the village of Alpbach but there is a skibus free for guests that leaves to the closest mountain (7min away) every 10-30 min. The town is cosy and not crowded (we were there in the first week of February). There are several restaurants but they have short/strange opening hours. Luckily, there is also a supermarket.
We came by train to Brixlegg and manage to get around with kids and without a car but I would recommend having one.

Smallish village, with outsize skiing.
Smallish village, with outsize skiing. Fairly large ski area - we skied for 4 days, could easily do a whole week. Not a huge amount in the village, but some pleasant restaurants. Relatively easy to get to without a car - train from Innsbruck, then mountain bus. Beautiful unspoiled Alpine village.

Very beautiful village and surroundings with lots of walks for all abilities and two lakes for swimming, Reither see just down the road and a bit further away in Kramsach the much bigger Reintaler see. It's a perfect location also for visiting the gorges and Achensee which is only a half hours drive away. The only problem is that there is really hardly anything in the village, two restaurants and a shop and in the evening it is deserted.

Alpbach is a very peaceful pretty village.
Alpbach is a very peaceful pretty village. It is quite residential so not many shops or bars (no partying) but the restaurants are good and there is a variety of food around - we enjoyed Post Alm (pre book online! Liveliest place, live music on Sundays) and also Messner’s. The Ski Juwel area (main ski resort) is a short bus and there are 2 bus stops in the village, they run fairly often to and from. Conny’s Sport is great for ski hire. There is 1 small ski slope located in the village “Boglerlift” with a button lift - great for beginners or to watch the Ski Show that is on certain dates. The mountain views are beautiful all over the village. Ski schools seemed great (didn’t use). There is a hotel Boglerhof with a spa that you can book massages etc even if you’re not staying there. We stayed at Der Berghof Hotel and it was great (highly recommend if staying in this area - however no pool.)
A lovely surprise! We didn't know what to expect, from the hotel or the town, but we were warmly welcomed by the owner manager Kitty, and given an intro to the hotel, the hiking, local activities and the Alpbach card which enabled us to use chairlifts, busses and visit an outdoor museum for free. Loved the room and the terrace. The hotel is a true Tirolean guesthouse. Breakfast was probably the best we had. We would highly recommend Sonnwend.
Alpbach is a beautiful village. We spent a lot of time looking out at the stunning view across the mountains, from the spacious balcony at the Weiherhof. The apartment exceeded our expectations in size, comfort and cleanliness. Manuela was very welcoming and professional, dealing with any queries swiftly. I highly recommend the Weirherhof apartments as a fantastic base for exploring the wonderful local landscape. Many thanks 🙏
I love Hilda‘s kindness, hospitality and generosity. And also, I love the breakfast and the homemade jams. It has everything and keeps me full until lunch. And also, I love Hilda‘s little surprises in the room like the fruits, biscuits and chocolates. It‘s as if I am staying at a 5-star hotel. I love the peace and quiet and the beauty of the place.
Everything was perfect, Christina was really kind and helpful, there was an Alpbachtal card she gave us which can be used for lots of activities around, tram access to mountain peaks, museums, swimming and more were free with this card and you can get discounts, We will definitely try to come back..
Everything was perfect; the host was helpful and friendly. She helps us with everything and more; the place is beautiful, clean and perfect to visit Alpbach. Also, the accommodation has a place to store the ski equipment, which is excellent. We leave Haus Kristall wishing to come back soon.
The location was amazing. Alpbach is a beautiful village, if you're staying there you can get an Alpbach tal card which allows for some attractions in the area (including the cable car up the mountain which is super).
The appartmant itself was quite spacious, wooden and sweet.
besides all obvious highlights like cleanliness and fantastic staff - super attentive and super nice and kind people - if you want to see an Alpine hotel of the future but still featuring beautiful Tyrollean style and architecture - stay at Alpbacherin Hotel!! ******
High-rate service, the staff is to be congratulated. Especially Christopher and Stephanie. We were a big family (with baby) and since checkin until finishing on the checkout, everything was fine. After skiing all day, a warm pool and sauna on the hotel helps a lot.
A great guest house, big and comfortable rooms that had a balcony with a beautiful view of the valley, centrally located to walk into Alpbach but away from any noisy bars. Good breakfasts and the staff was very kind and helpful
Very peaceful with absolutely stunning view.
Good location for exploring the surrounding area.
The free Alpbachtal Card which gives free local bus travel and free access to certain cable cars in the area was very useful.
Great accomodation with an amazing view in a peaceful setting just 5 min walk from lovely Alpbach. The host makes you feel being at home from the moment you arrive and gave us some very good restaurant recommendations.
Beautiful apartment. About 5-10minute walk up from the bus stop and shops/restaurant (is uphill so bear in mind if wearing boots and carrying ski gear). Not an issue for us.
Very clean and well kept.
spacious holiday home at an exceptional setting in the Alpbach village. lots of character, and privacy on top. We love the woodburning stove, the view, the owner’s hospitality.
