Overall excellent. Everyone was professional yet accommodating, and we were given lifts to and from Xincheng station. Host spoke great English which was helpful. The local bus routes and walking trails were explained to us so getting around was easy. Amazing views of the mountains from the balcony. Room was spacious and clean, and delicious breakfasts.

The whole hostel was clean! Free bicycles! Shared kitchen with a lot of utensils! Crazy interior design. Just a few min by walk from the train station.
Amazing place! The room was so beautiful. We noticed that the designer pay attention for every little thing in the room. The also have private parking and supermarket just in front of the hotel and it was great advantage while we got late at the evening to the check in. They also served modern coffee by choice in the morning and it's so surprising!

Fantastic host, extremely quick in responding to messages, personable, we got to taste her mum's self-made plum wine on the rooftop, she even took us to the train station, when we asked for a taxi.. Stunningly designed home, close to night market and beach, very clean and comfortable room, lovely linen.
Lovely location, 2nd line from the ocean. Partial ocean view from the room. Great amenities, clean room and beautiful design. Right in front of a magnificent promenade walk that goes on for many kilometres on the sea side. Highly recommended
Our stay was super! The rooms were extra clean and spacious with a unique travel-inspired design. Less than 10 mins walk from Hualien train station in a quiet and safe area. The hosts (a young couple with a lovely daughter) were kind and welcoming, catering to our requests and needs. The breakfast was yummy and eco-friendly with a variety of meals to choose from - though a take-away kind, it tasted like home-made and the drinks were in reusable cups. Would definitely stay here again!
the interior design of the room is really pretty and cozy! room is quite huge too and really clean and comfortable. facilities are pretty new and exquisite and each room has their own unique design which is well thought out. the staff also provide coffee services in the morning .
It's English name should be East Gate Boutique Hotel not Dongdaemon. Nice bathroom. Great to get ABC Australia in English. Easy walk to the railway station. Friendly staff. It had an interesting courtyard area and an unusual building design. It had a little fridge in the room. The bed was softer than a usual Taiwanese bed. Nice entry foyer with comfortable chairs.
