Surrounded by the Zavoi Park, 300 metres from the centre of Ramnicu Valcea, Grand Hotel Sofianu hosts an art museum with works of 500 representative Romanian plastic artists. It offers modern rooms with air-conditioning and free WiFi. The hole package was excellent! It's not the first time I go there and I come back again and again with pleasure. And what I think I love the most is the art inside the hotel, including the great book with poetry :)

Very charming place, the surroundings, the fresh air, the lakes/river nearby are all delightful. The hosts are very nice people, they are universally liked with good reasons. There are a few places you may visit in the area, including a rather impressive waterfall that is reachable by hiking through a forest. The hosts will inform you about the best places to eat.

Extremely beautiful designed and spacious apartment. Close to everything. Great value for money.
Nice little hotel, centrally located, with parking and a good restaurant. Recently refurbished, tasteful modern design. The room was warm, the bed was comfortable. The room had also a balcony, a coffee maker and a mini bar. Good water pressure. Staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Staff was professional, prompt and friendly. Hotel is classy, elegant, renovated and clean; a great oasis in the middle of a gorgeous park. Facilities are good and the restaurant food is delicios. Decorations and design were splendid especially during Christmas.

Had a lovely stay. Stunning view, very quiet, closed to both, the salt mine and the Bottomless resort salt water pool, safe & free parking. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

- Clean. - Nicely crafted furniture and interior design. - Quiet. - Generous breakfast. - 45-60 minutes drive to Transalpina Ski Resort. - I assume it is much nicer in summer, when you can stay outside on the terrace and in the yard.
I have stayed just for a night, I was just passing by. It was very comfortable, clean, with a big room and very nice interior design.
The breakfast was very nice, and also the design and arrangement of the rooms. The hotel has affordable prices, a back courtyard which makes you feel like in another world (compared with the main road in front of the building).
