The Reef Resort Motel offers self-contained accommodation on the edge of the Lake Taupo. The property features an outdoor heated freshwater pool and a thermal pool with a hot tub.

The modern units have either lake, mountain or pool views and all include a spa bath and a well-equipped kitchenette. Modern amenities include air conditioning and TV reception. The rooms were huge with a small kitchenette, access to laundry in the hotel and the pool / hot tub area was fabulous. Easy access to the lake beside the hotel and a fabulous walk along the lake also.

The boutique, luxury lodge is a 3-minute drive from Lake Taupo and a 10-minute drive from Taupo town centre. It is a 5-minute drive from Acacia Bay and a 15-minute drive from AC Baths and Thermal Hot Pools. The closest airport is Taupo Airport, 15 km from the property. Whakaipo Lodge was a superb place to stay in every way. The owners, Garth & Angie went beyond the call to make our stay memorable & easy to highly recommend from the welcome, to the pre dinner drinks & canapes, the sharing of local knowledge & the beautifully presented, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was 10/10 using locally sourced high quality products. The coffee also got a gold star.

Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort is just 800 metres from Lake Taupo crater lake. It has a natural thermal spa and is only 5 minutes' drive from the Taupo town centre. Free Wi-Fi is available.

DeBretts Spa offers a wide variety of accommodation options including studio and family motels to spa chalets and luxury lodges. Spacious, clean and fully equipped rooms. Will definitely re-book on my next visit to Taupo.

Suncourt Hotel & Conference Centre offers spectacular views of Lake Taupo and the volcanoes of Tongariro National Park. All individually air-conditioned rooms include free WiFi, free on-site parking and a 55 inch Smart TV with Freeview and casting/streaming abilities. A really beautiful and central location, lake view, had a heat pump which kept us warm in the chilly weather. Everything was so clean and tidy.

Hilton Lake Taupo includes free pool and gym access and features views over Lake Taupo and is just minutes away from the town centre. It is a 15-minute drive from Taupo Airport.

Enjoy a meal at the on-site Bistro Lago Restaurant and indulge in a menu created by chef Gareth Stewart. Relax with a refreshing beverage in the lounge bar. Facilities were amazing as were the in room amenities & set up. The staff were incredibly attentive & accomodating.

Beechtree Suites offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and free gym access just 400 metres from Lake Taupo. It is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. All rooms have a TV with over 50 satellite channels. Beds were comfortable. There was a microwave, electric kettle, bowls, plates and cutlery, a sink and dishwashing liquid/sponge all supplied in the room which makes it possible to prepare simple breakfast. Lots of coffee, tea, drinking chocolate, even mints and a packet of cookie were supplied. Plentiful parking available. Reception staff were very friendly.

Just 500-metres from the waters edge, The Lake Motel offers free WiFi and free bicycle hire. It features an outdoor dining area with BBQ facilities. This peaceful retreat provides an idyllic base to explore Taupo. The location was great. A two minute walk from a beautiful swimming beach on Lake Taupo. The unit was nice and big, like a small apartment. So much better than staying in one room with no room to move.

Located on the edge of Lake Taupo, The Cove offers luxury rooms with satellite TV and either fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. It features a tour desk that can book local activities, including trout fishing, skydiving and mountain biking. Free parking is available on site. Great view and location. Excellent service and quality room.
