The staff is just awesome, they make sure you're always comfortable and feeling like at home. The food they cook is really really good, both Western and typical Sri Lankan.
The staff knows very well Ella and the surrounding, and were happy to share information with us about where to go and where to hike.

Extremely beautiful, lovely design and very relaxing
Absolutely stunning views and lovely stay. The rooms are nice and big (two beds in one), beds comfortable, and bathroom adequate. Lots of plug sockets, a hair dryer and a mirror always appreciated. Do bear in mind that the place isn't really reachable by car, down a windy bumpy road, but the owners were more than happy to send a tuktuk to help us with the luggage. This came in handy every time we wanted to go out, so long as you're not in a rush. All in all, great stay, gorgeous views, and value for money.
We loved everything about our stay at Arawe retreat, we wish we had stay there longer! It was beautifully designed, very short walk to Ella Main Streets (free tuktuk shuttle also available). We particularly enjoyed the food which was prepared in house by amazing chefs and the slow paced atmosphere of the retreat. We would love to come back some day!! Special thanks to Ishanka, Vino, Suren and Dharashan for the lovely food, assistance and recommendations!
We had a nice time here. Its located a bit off the main strip in Ella which makes it easy to walk to the restaurants, hike starting points and crawling back after drinking in the evening. The design of the place is stunning and the staff super helpfull and friendly! Breakfast was pretty good for the standard western breakfast. The rooms are small but clean and nice.

Truly stunning location and view, framed beautifully by the modern interior design. Rooms were clean and showers were hot! The staff were all superb, especially our main host, Chathu. The Sri Lankan food was also delicious.
This place is a nugget! Lovely designed and with a stunning view. Silent, very relaxed and compfy! The owner is super helpful and the breakfast very delicious. Highly recommending this place when visiting Ella.
