At Mengi Countryside, you can enjoy mountain views from your room. Modern Nordic design and décor are featured throughout the property. Bathroom facilities are shared, and a guest lounge is also available. I liked the location, the concept of the place, and the host.

Very nice apartment, warm and cosy, well equipped - we found everything we needed and more. Easy check-in and check-out.
Laugarvatn
Located within the famous Golden Circle sightseeing trail, Héradsskólinn Historic Guesthouse overlooks Lake Laugarvatn, Hekla Volcano and the Eyjafjallajökull Glacier. A bistro, café, bar and tour desk are found on site. WiFi is free. Beautiful building in beautiful surroundings. Most helpful staff.
Hveragerði
Found by bubbling geothermal springs in Hveragerdi, this hotel offers an outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs and sauna. All rooms include bathrobes, slippers and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Wi-Fi is free.
Frost and Fire Hotel’s rooms feature bright, modern décor and work by various Icelandic artists. All have wooden floors, large beds and a private bathroom. Some rooms offer views of the River Varmá.

Nesjavellir
This hotel is situated on Mount Hengill, 18 km from UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park. Its restaurant offers Nordic specialities and a bar with panoramic scenic views.
Free WiFi, satellite TV, a seating area and private bathroom are featured in all guest rooms at ION Adventure Hotel, Nesjavellir, a Member of Design Hotels. Some also overlook Lake Thingvallavatn.
The ION is a special spot, with a gorgeous view from the Northern Lights bar, where you can sit and unwind after a day of adventure. The restaurant on site is exceptional, serving an amazing breakfast buffet, lunch, and a superb dinner. The selections are excellent, and the food was artistically plated. The room felt spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we had a fabulous sleep. All in all, we would highly recommend the IOn, from its helpful and friendly staff to its gorgeous location.

Our favourite accommodation during our stay in Iceland (and we stayed in 9 different places!). Very comfortable, excellent facilities, and exceptionally decorated - it's very telling that the owner is an interior designer. Well placed for the Golden Triangle and Hveragerði is well served for eateries etc.
This boutique hotel is set high on a ridge line with incredible views. The staff were very welcoming and very friendly and nothing was to difficult. The rooms were stunning and very comfortable. The thermal baths were a treat. The breakfast was amazing. Our best hotel in Iceland.
Lovely interior design, great to have a washing machine and the hot tubs were fun. Also the guest information provided by the host was really helpful and informative
We fell in love with the upscale industrial look that was common in Iceland. Lots of cement but the interior design was warm and inviting. Rooms were good size but simple. We enjoyed a lovely happy hour in the bar / restaurant area.
Lovely stay, well equipped kitchen, functional and smart interior designed. I’ve stayed in dome at Grand Canyon, similar but this stay was cosier as it was smaller.

We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Geysir Hotel so can’t comment on the little Geysir hotel itself. excellent interior design with character very close to the Geyser about 500 meters. staff very friendly. Clean. Lovely breakfast lots of choice. lovely evening meal. our local TV Chanels.

The guesthouse building was large and very well equipped, with lots of handy extras - shoes polishing kit at the entrance, a small bottle of fresh milk available for breakfast even if we had no meal included in our booking. And the building interior design is lovely.
